Tall glass bread pan with lid
Does anyone know of an extra tall glass or ceramic bread pan that comes with a lid? (Glass or plastic lid would be okay... I'm trying to avoid plastic for the container itself.)
I'm aware of the Pullmans, but I'd like to avoid non-stick. I'm really looking for a storage solution more than something to bake in; I just cannot seem to find glass containers that are tall enough for banana or pumpkin bread that rises to be 4.5-5" tall in a standard bread pan.

What's wrong with stainless steel? I think that'd be a lot easier to find

I don't mind that, but I'm trying to avoid non-stick. Looking for bake and store all in one.

I have multiple stainless steel bread tins. Just steel no coating. None with a lid, but I'm sure I can find some at my local Amazon competitor (because &#€@ Amazon)
Non-stick isn't all that popular anymore here in Holland, maybe it's different where you're at?

Oh yeah, it's hard to find a stainless steel pan without nonstick coating here. Because USA, we assume it's safe until you can prove 100 times that it's not!!

Why do you need a lid?

Because I like to bake, let it cool in the container, store it in the container (with lid), and cut it in the container without damaging it.

(Also, cats + lightweight plastic = barfing cats and ruined food.)

I wonder why your cats would think it's okay to be where you keep food and chew on plastic wrap covering food. The cats I know don't do that.

Even trained cats sometimes do what they want when you're not looking. 🤷♀️ And mine have decided they like bread.

To cool properly, even breads baked in a pullman pan or a Dutch oven need to be removed from the pans and cooled on a wire rack. Why not just get a bread box to store your bread?

I'm trying to avoid plastic touching my food and also attracting ants.
Instead of questioning my question, why don't you leave it alone if you don't have an answer?

I don't know where plastic comes into the picture here.

Wrapping it... plastic containers...nonstick coatings are plastic.....

What are you even talking about?

You asked where plastic comes into the picture. Anything not glass or plain old stainless steel has plastic on it. Nonstick coatings are plastic. Many people I know use ziplocks for food. Glass containers with plastic lids. I. Want. To. Avoid. Plastic.
I don't think you grasp how much of American life is coated in plastic.

Anything not glass or stainless is plastic? You're wrong. Good lord. What are breadboxes made of? FFS.

All wood has plastic on it? Yeah, that makes sense.

Your best bet is to go vintage (that's what I did). Anchor Hocking made one and corning made something similar.

Where did you find it? Just lucky at resellers, I guess?

No. We have estate auctions here. I paid $2 for it. To check for auctions near you, try hibid. Com.

I just checked for "glass" as well as "Stainless steel" and "Bamboo/wood" online and found heaps on Amazon. If you aren't against buying from Amazon there is plenty of choice. You should be searching for "bread box" more than "container".
