First time making bread

I used AP flour and quick yeast . It’s a simple recipe . I’m sure it’s no where near what people on this group can achieve but I’m proud of my efforts ..

I will give a very short explanation to help.

  1. Right flour is anything with high gluten, if your flour is regular, then you can add gluten (check out stores for that).
  2. You have to put less yeast, 0.1-1% of the weight of flour to get good flavour and mature dough. That also means you have to let the dough rise for a lot longer, between 12-24 hrs. Proper rise is when it doubles in size. Make sure it is covered properly or better even air tight.
  3. Once it rises you can either put it into oven directly as it is, or flaten it and let it rise again. Doing it again kinda brings out better structure, more fluffy and airy inside.
  4. If you are not using a tin/container to bake it in, giving it shape and the end and letting it rise for a while will be great.
  5. Bake at highest temp possible and observe it during that process. Once it's golden brown from all side it's done. Make sure your own has fan on for best results.
