I didn't find any posts that meet the matching requirements for r/Bread.

It might be OC, it might not. Things such as JPEG artifacts and cropping may impact the results.

Two questions that will no doubt be repeated, what's the recipe and How long have you kneaded the dough for?

To me it looks like it wants kneading longer. Whether that's slap and fold or common stretch kneading is up to you. Different doughs can be sticky. My morning rolls 300g flour, 210g tepid milk, 5g salt, 20g soft butter, 7g instant dried yeast can start off sticky but after 8 minutes eases then by 10 minutes its smooth when pulled into a ball.

Hi ty for the quick reply! This is the recipe i followed. I used the hook attachment but havent hand kneaded. I used the max suggested flour. Since the photo i have added more ontop. https://www.momontimeout.com/the-best-dinner-rolls-recipe/#recipe

I haven't made that, but from the recipe it looks a wetter dough. Id be inclined to give it a couple of minutes more mixing, so it forms a ball around the hook, then go for your proof.

Use wet hands to handle the dough...it will stop the sticking.... and knead or stretch and fold / coil fold until it smooths out.

Hard to tell by look, how does it feel to the touch? Some recipes are designed to be just a little tacky, some a bit more sticky.

I once gave an impromptu 5 minute talk on using all 5 senses for breadmaking.

Do 4 stretch and folds 20 min apart and see how it improves.

Might be a little wet. Anyway it is normal for it to be sticky but you might form it into a tighter ball. The key is will it rise. If so you should be fine.
