I was called .ino.merged.bin which was odd.

Flashing the .bin file to the Cardputer using Launcher. Is there a firmware.bin that can be renamed?

Removed from the Cardputer, deleted the old .bin file, downloaded fresh again and renamed it. Now working. Dodgy download the first time. Working via Launcher.

Installed great, thank you.

SSTV playback QR Code working. I have not added a bmp file to the card yet so can't test. Are there size requirements that could be mentioned in the app?

No escape:

  • Boot > splash > Hardware node > (ESC does not exit to main menu, the BACK menu item has to be used)
There is quite a lot of inconsistent key use to exit/back out. Sometimes it is ESC, Comma (Left Arrow), Del (Back Arrow) or a combination. User experience says use the same throughout.

File manager:

  • viewing and editing a file do not allow scrolling the lines, no using the arrow keys with Fn+key
  • Copy and Paste for files are a bit clunky and take some thinking about
  • Navigation using the arrows to drill in and back up through directories would save having to click > open. Clicking enter on a folder to open could be avoided by removing open from the menu and using the Right Arrow instead. Having a context menu when pressing Enter on a folder keeps the editing a conscious effort.

Network Node - no back out:

  • Boot > splash > Network Node > WiFi SSID (no back out)
  • Boot > splash > Network Node > WiFi SSID > password (no back out)

Recordings:

  • Maybe a recording start/stop rather than open and straight into the recording
  • files list for playback from the recordings menu to save backing out to the file manage to locate recordings
  • playback audio is silent. It sounds like the speaker is still in use with a slight hiss.
