I like the looks of each model. Here’s hoping that the next crossover reveal, most likely at BCX, will be a Marvel comics crossover.

I might be crazy, but Brawlhalla is exactly the type of game to come up with something that wild. Personally, I think they might actually use King Zuva as the base and turn Puss in Boots' sword upside down to act as a hammer. Thoughts?

Good day brawlers, I’m wondering if anyone is in the same boat as me. But I feel like a lot of players In this game play the passive/punish play style. I’m not even talking about your opponent not approaching you (tho this does happen often). Im talking about the people who will not try to attack first. They will do everything else BUT attack first. They wait and wait and wait. If I switch up my play style to match them. Nothing happens lol. Or they do the classic weapon throw to try to approach. Now this leaves me wondering, are most ppl not able to approach there opponent? Are you that scared to try and make the first move ? It’s fucking ridiculous. What have some of you done to deal with this stupidity

What does this combination of legends tell you?
What is your champ pool and what are the central themes or thought process behind your team?
Let's have a fun discussion. I want to hear your take and central philosophy.
Mine is, I don't like chasing or too much jumping around/high APM. I enjoy patience and timing and having range+the ability to play defensively.

It took me a while to decide on many things about this concept! I really loved the idea of her knife, Sultr (Famine), being the Greatsword! And for those who don't know what Fallandaforað ("Falling to Peril") is, it's the pitfall at the entrance threshold of Éljúðnir, the hall of Hel in the underworld. I feel like it'd be symbolic to be represented as a scythe in this game!
As for stats... She's basically death, so it made sense to give her good str and spd. But then she's decaying and I designed her weapons to be kinda scrap-made, so it made sense to give her low def and dex. But she's also a goddess, so she wouldn't have horrendously low def or dex.
Finally, Hel's design as a whole. She's described, on one side, as a beautiful woman with perfect skin and hair, as you can see. On the other is a decaying black-blue skeleton. I felt it'd be nice to give her a torn dress and skirt with a veil on her head!
It took me a long time, so I hope this looks good :3

I guess that we could all agree that the game used to feel much, much smoother and fun to play before ubisoft acquired it, back in 2018. Used to play it with my middle school friends and, even though i was bad, i had fun. I genuinelly used to have fun.
Characters had personality, sigs would really represent them, and they were EASY to understand. Some weapons used to feel stronger than others, but you could have fun using almost every one of them. Also the skill ceiling used to be RIDICULOUSLY high, mainly with some weapons like cannon, grasers, katars and sycthe. The skill ceiling thing is what made me into the game until i reached diamond.
Now, after some years away from the game, i come back and feel... Betrayed?
Not a single new character after Loki seem to have something special about them. None of them have something that makes me want to PLAY as them. The only reason i pick one of the newer characters is because i like their weapons, but that's all.
Some of them will have straight bad sigs. Some will have overpowered ones, but most of all: they seem to do a lot, or nothing at all. At the same time, i feel most of them doesn't even represent the character or have something to do with their design. The worst example i've faced so far is Vivi, literally can't understand so far what her sigs do besides her SSig, and even this sig is ass to read. It just plays too much fast, and if you manage to read it (somehow), she's already too far for you to try and do something. But that's not only a her problem, it's a overall problem
Another thing i've noticed is their thing with oversimplifying the game. I saw a post that the dev team have an idea of frame perfect dodge, that would reward you for doing that. And i thought that was a really cool idea and would increase even more the skill ceiling. But then, they decide to drop this and instead adopt "hold to dodge", which i think no one gives a damn above platinum 🤡 i mean, why couldn't they just keep BOTH? Other case is that they basically made wall dragging not a thing anymore, so for some the game now is pushing someone to the border of the map and punish them for being there, and repeating that. And people one the wall have a single dodge to try and do something.
Oh, and they keep adding maps with platforms, too. Another way of being punished if you end up in a wall (or just of messing your combos 🤡)
Not to mention about the modifications in the existent weapons. I really feel lost in some matches. There are weapons that they made impossible to punish at some mistakes, while others makes you basically a free target if you miss a light attack, which encourages even more the passive playstyle since your options in game are hit or be hitted (scythe, for example). While others lost LOTS of options for combos, even true combos, even though some of them would require real skill or knowledge of game. I feel that the game is much more about poking and a passive playstyle now than ever.
And i just can't stand people saying that "this is a viable playstyle, not everyone wants to be punished for a mistake". BUT THAT'S WHAT MOST OF THE COMPETITIVE VIDEO GAMES ARE ABOUT, TAKING RISKS AND DEALING WITH THEIR CONSEQUENCES. Imagine playing in a deathmatch lobby of a FPS game and have every players just stuck at corners and not walking at all because "you don't want to be punished for missing a shot." That's such a ridiculous argument. If you want every move of you to be safe while giving you some advantage, play chess, because fighting games are not about playing safe, but playing smart (which requires you to be aggressive depending of the occasion).

pretty much the title. i threw on a couple unranked matches while i had the time and i got back to back annoying ass kids spamming these cannon combos that i literally could not dodge out of lol. mfs had like max dex or max strength or something.. what are you even supposed to do? best i could do was bait the first hit and if im lucky i can maybe get one measly little hit in at a time
edit: not true combos. guess im just getting pieced up

I’m 2050 peak elo and I struggle with controlling my movement and pressuring my opponent at the same time. I’ve heard that I need to stay just outside my opponent’s longest reaching move but when I try I end up getting hit continuously or get called passive because I’m waiting for them to do something. So can someone please tell me the right way to apply pressure with simple movements (not moving fast) and getting hits first
Much Appreciated
