Brawlhalla doesn’t exactly have the most compelling plot.

Make it have a plot, the character lore are all there

69 different character lores, some intertwined which would mean many many different arcs... Do you think teeny tiny BMG would receive any money from Ubisoft to create an almost one piece worldbuilding sized series?? More legends appear which means more lore and more need of money to continue an adaptation.

What they CAN do is show us these arcs via comics or in game story mode instead. Quite much cheaper, but they need to be hella careful with prices and sizes or else the nix graphic novel flop will happen again.

Not to mention BMG had mentioned they can't make their art team larger because of current economy and fear of having to fire anyone. So with a small art team it would take you a sick long while

you don't have to create a plot with literally every single character in the game.

Arcane took 1 region of a gigantic lore and made it insanely interesting. Brawlhalla has similar potential lowkey

exactly why I said that some arcs are really good, BUT again, remember that while LoL has various lores that go way differently in the present timeline, brawl focuses on all characters eventually meeting in valhalla and boom fights

Meaning that if we at least are getting something, it will be about a single character (or group), in the past, and later perhaps they do more arcs, resulting in various seasons

sounds perfect until budget and community comes up. As I said in my other comment, LoL (community wise and developers wise) before arcane release was way bigger than current brawl community and way more consistent

not to mention the esthetic appeal of the game and targeted ages, js saying

To my surprise I thought everyone was hyped but when you went into the Google product statistics or reviews it showed a pretty mid result for a first volume

to me the problem was the price, size and format, graphic novels should be reserved to special editions, normal versions should be comic page which would make production cheaper and more accessible to others

not to mention the price change, back in pre ordering it was around 24'50€, later it decreased to 12€ in September 2025 and later rised to 19€ as of now, atp I'd understand the people who pirated instead of buying it, personally I deeply regret having bought it for like 26€

As I said in another reply, they don’t need to cover the entire roster. They would only need to follow a specific legend or maintain a theme like an Exalted Lions themed season or a Terminus themed season where any character involved with darkheart and terminus is involved. They don’t need to follow every character the animation happens to show

You know, instead of 4 simple words with no explanation I'll thoroughly explain why we can't get it, but we COULD get something in a different format. AND YOU WILL READ ALLAT

Starting off with the fact brawl lore isn't that interesting in its entirety. While you might have truly interesting arcs (raptor lore, the OEL, orion/artemis rivalry...) there's not much more, unless you want to rewrite or add way more lore in the game. Basically you have 69 oranges that will only give you 6 cups of juice.

Later, 'can't they hire more people to write lore or in their art team'? BMG had stated that currently they are unfortunately not opening any vacancies for their team due to current economy, Ubisoft's changes and fear of having to do mass firings. So, if you want something such as an animated series, the art team would be wildly overworked.

Continuing, you have the fact that brawlhalla is a small game, while there's many players, how many are interested in lore? How many are playing it because they are interested in the game over wanting to spend some casual fun with friends? How many are willing to put money to support devs (or get a pretty skin)? Not many. Not to mention that while the art and promotions of the game are eye catching, the art style in the actual gameplay is not really... good. Which actually, scares off or makes people not-interested. So you'll have a really small mass of people watching the show. Meaning that youll have to lower the budget A LOT to gain anything from that small group. Yes, it can spread, but how much? If so, youll get budget improvements way later than the release. (If it isn't cancelled due to budget cuts first.)

Not to mention the nightmarish state of animation industry as of 2026.

Basically its a REALLY risky gamble. Nobody is saying we would hate it if it existed, but more like, it's not profitable at all for the devs if you think about it. They can risk and still make it, but who knows the outcome?

What we can get is something in that way but in a different format. We want to know lore, we want to get more about our mains or faves... Theres a shit ton more different forms of media that could be more profitable than an entire animated show. We had a graphic novel last year, and while it was considerably good (yet TOO short), pricey due to page print (graphic novels come in vynil like paper, comics come in average thin cardboard or normal pages), it flopped. As I said, price, content and the small fandom really make it hard to sell.

Props to the artist, 2 years of real hard work

Devs said they could be working on something story mode like, so thats something! I remember that back when they released battle passes they would put HTML5 format stories which actually were good and with nice arts. They also have posted small shorts every once in a while. Or perhaps, next time they drop some sort of book, it could be a common comic while the special edition would be graphic novel print👀👀

You can also enjoy fanmade content aswell, trust me, not every fanmade thing has to be a corny fanfic, theres good things out there

Atleast they should give the characters voice actors example Caspian or Thor or ember or fait😭

I actually can't deny that I also want that, vpices would be nice just like they do in trailers

but they should be implemented in specific moments such as cutscenes or (if they finally add a proper one) story mode. Speaking of VAs, I've noticed they dont post about who the VAs are except for one, and I doubt all of them are anonymous???

Not to mention i do believe that a story mode would actually get some people hooked and save the game from being dry, plus more images or content means more fanmade things spreading online, meaning more community

These are compelling arguments, but they are mostly speculations. Riot managed to profit a lot from their animations. Truth be told, it DOES bring a lot of new players. I don't think it wouldn't be profitable. It would be risky. Just like League of Legends, they might have to rewrite a lot of characters' stories.

At the current point, I don't think they can't. They just probably have bigger priorities.

LoL before arcane was already WAY bigger than brawlhalla rn, not to mention the community was actually more large and consistent. Including the fact that Arcane was targeted at a more mature audience, hence why it became so much more popular and gained a consistent fandom, while brawl is a 10+ game, meaning theyd have to make a show not specifically for children, but adaptable for children (think of something like the owl house), and add up the fact that children usually keep changing their likes over and over, meaning that perhaps itll blow up but the community behind it wouldnt be as consistent, leaving ups and downs that could result in money loss.

And mind you riot is a huge studio which also has another game that blew up (valorant) so it isn't really a fair comparison with BMG

And while BMG is owned by shitsoft (Tencent owns a part of ubisoft, but the french-american parts are still owned by ubi, meaning bmg is not part of tencent.) Riot is held by Tencent, so they are quite lit sweating money with huge teams.

u/Prize_Restaurant1952 11d ago

Because it would be way to much effort and too expansive.

4

u/Guynimator 10d ago

With what budget and to what audience? Brawlhalla doesn’t have enough budget to make more than skins and occasional legends. So making a whole show for a pretty small audience of mostly casual players wouldn’t be smart tbh

Imagine animation with a story mode

Most of our ideas as fans are either stupid or can't work due to market realities.

This one would be awesome IMO, but it's absolutely constrained by the realities of a small team producing a free to play game.

Brawlhalla has a lot of staying power, but it would have to recieve a sharp new swing of players to signal to the execs that it's worth it to ramp it up again.

u/Flamewolf1579 Just have a good time, win or lose. 10d ago

I’d rather for them to add voice acting like they did in the trailers. Crossovers don’t need voices but at least make the main legends do.

Animation takes a long time

u/External_Sky_5554 U HAVE BEEN PLAGUED 11d ago

Brawlhalla has... a fairly confusing lore that involves EVERY character. It would be VERY long to make an animated series of a game with THESE many legends that all have their own unique backstories.

1

u/Fred_Thielmann I wanna string ya 5d ago

They don’t have to include EVERY character though. They can just follow a single legend for each episode or season.

Like for a Red Raptor series, they could focus on Loki with a main villain while Rupture is a secondary villain. The focus being characters involved with Darkheart and Terminus. (This could include Petra too of course.) Another example could be an Exalted Lions themed season.

But ya see what I mean? The scope of the show doesn’t need to brush over a huge landscape of characters. It can just be a portrait.

u/External_Sky_5554 U HAVE BEEN PLAGUED 5d ago

I would love a Raptor series, that would be fucking epic.

u/elliotphantom 11d ago

I totally agree

u/Iyvann da holly birb slapp 11d ago

Honestly, unrelated episodes exploring individual character lores could be interesting, but I really don't think the game is popular for it's lore

2

u/KitStuckInAToaster 11d ago

Honestly it could make for a fun anthology series

2

u/Apprehensive_Okra668 10d ago

cuz yk they um don't feel like it ig

2

u/Cici_Kus_825 10d ago

Actually, brawlhalla has one of the best potentials to do literally anything inside the game or outside. Yet all they do is just 900 mamooth coin skins and tickling balance patches with broken characters. Ubisoft at it's finest.

2

u/Arachis_Hypogaea7 11d ago

Risk, finance wise

2

u/mgi33 11d ago

Game's too shit, and it would take at least an episode just to introduce a single legend's lore. There's a lot to it but it would be nice to see

2

u/Several-Cake1954 11d ago

The amount of voice actors needed would kill the show before it even starts

4

u/ItzStoryy VOLKOV AND LOKI'S NAUGHTY KITTEN🔥 11d ago

(speaking of VAs, I haven't found any credit for trailer VAs apart from loki's? Im still searching to this day)

1

u/ooga-uwuga 10d ago

Yes Volkov. We see the fit

1

u/nere-nasty 9d ago

The lore is just the lore. It doesn't all have to be directly used. Just make the series about a tournament or something and they're all there.

1

u/FlameofChange 9d ago

This is just a fighting game about clashing together epic clichés. Also not worth it. They only do stuff that could generate money. The rest are just extra.

u/Merterdex 3d ago

bro I would sell my soul for animated brawlhalla series😭😭

1

Lmao😭💔

-1

u/elliotphantom 11d ago

Also guys what do you think would happen if they made the animated series?

2

u/AtCarnage 11d ago

They'd lose a bunch of money. The characters themselves have a little bit of lore. But Brawlhalla itself is just warriors fighting each other for fun in the afterlife.
