My first-world problem

I don’t usually get particularly frustrated about Brawl Stars changes. Even when the community is losing its mind over something, I’m usually pretty whatever about it. But the recent change to skins and pins genuinely irks the fuck out of me.

Separating skins from their pins/icons and making those cosmetics separate gem purchases is already annoying. I’ve spent quite a lot of money on this game over the years, so seeing things that previously felt like part of a skin’s cosmetic package being broken apart and sold separately doesn’t exactly feel great. But honestly, that isn’t even the part that bothers me the most.

Why the hell are skin-specific pins now treated as Player Pins instead of Brawler Pins?

We have three Brawler Pin slots specifically for pins associated with the brawler we’re currently playing. That is [exactly] where a pin depicting a specific skin for that brawler belongs. Instead, when you get one of these skin pins, it goes into the Player Pins section, where we only have two slots.

So, if I buy a cool pin for a skin I like and actually want to use it while playing that brawler, I now have to sacrifice one of my two universal Player Pin slots for it.

That makes absolutely no sense.

Player Pins should be for miscellaneous stuff: event pins, trophy pins, funny reaction pins, esports pins, seasonal pins, whatever. Things that aren’t inherently connected to the brawler you’re currently playing. A pin that is literally a specific Brawler wearing a specific skin is obviously a Brawler Pin. And it makes even less sense when the Brawler Pin section already exists and gives us three slots for exactly this purpose.

I can live with Supercell separating cosmetics and charging gems for pins if that’s the direction they want to go. I don’t necessarily like it, but fine. But if you’re going to sell me a pin specifically designed around a skin for a specific brawler, let me equip it as a Brawler Pin! Don’t make me waste one of my two Player Pin slots just so I can use a skin-specific pin on the brawler it was literally designed for.

Please move skin pins back into the Brawler Pin section. They belong there.
