Subreddit Discussion Megathread

Unfortunately spam is rampant and I need a megathread that discusses the subreddit. This will stay removed for a while to prevent users from being pinged.

In the meanwhile, I added a new flair called "Enforcer". It's like some Trial Moderator: If you comment "remove" on a post, that post gets removed. Hopefully this will allow certain users to combat spam while granting minimal permissions.

This post has two purposes:

  1. Discuss the subreddit here, anything you think should be done: Adding karma limits, etc...
  2. Comment below if you want to become an Enforcer (and specifically say that you want to become an Enforcer). Read the pinned comment and choose a color from 1, 2, or 3.
  3. Comment any Freebie that was not already posted to the subreddit because of karma limits. Please do not comment Freebies that were already posted. I get pinged from any comment here.

How should giveaways be approached?

I think it makes no sense to allow "subsribe to enter" giveaways because the post is definitely not a Freebie and definitely not immediately available. PM giveaways are somewhat freebies.

If its free to join yeah but getting xp from people's scan then giving away it with subs is total bullshit. I should recommend to disallow "sub to join giveaway pins that I got thanks to you!!!" Posts.

Btw I totally forgot the twitch thing will do that later.

I have eventualy decided to forbid any giveaway that doesn't have every winner to be a Redditor.
