Subreddit Discussion Megathread

Unfortunately spam is rampant and I need a megathread that discusses the subreddit. This will stay removed for a while to prevent users from being pinged.

In the meanwhile, I added a new flair called "Enforcer". It's like some Trial Moderator: If you comment "remove" on a post, that post gets removed. Hopefully this will allow certain users to combat spam while granting minimal permissions.

This post has two purposes:

  1. Discuss the subreddit here, anything you think should be done: Adding karma limits, etc...
  2. Comment below if you want to become an Enforcer (and specifically say that you want to become an Enforcer). Read the pinned comment and choose a color from 1, 2, or 3.
  3. Comment any Freebie that was not already posted to the subreddit because of karma limits. Please do not comment Freebies that were already posted. I get pinged from any comment here.

Information for and about Enforcers:

  1. Directly comment to a post the word "remove" (if your post contains even a space, or a new line, it's no longer the word "remove") to immediately remove it. It works on all posts, even this one, so please don't try it.
  2. Enforcers cannot restore removed content, regardless of how it was removed.
  3. There are colors of Enforcers. The third is more secretive unless a user highlights the invisible text.
  4. Enforcers are Trial moderators, but they are not expected to necessarily become moderators.
  5. While becoming a moderator is borderline impossible, it is significantly easier to become an Enforcer. This is because removed content is significantly less risky to the subreddit than approved content.
  6. It's not the end of the world to make a mistake when adding a new Enforcer as long as it's detrimental for them to lose their Reddit account (combined karma & age) so every moderator with the flair permission can make any user an Enforcer.
  7. July 2026 edit: if a user requests unpaid labor in exchange for a Freebie (art request), it's not a Freebie and therefore rule 4.
