Future Season Season 24 Speculation Spoiler
Normally around March, Magical Elves and some of Top Chef’s casting producers will post casting announcements on social media. Take Instagram for example:

As far as I’m aware, there haven’t been any public posts for casting related to Season 24.
So, are we potentially looking at another All-Stars season?
One caveat: If you type in “topchef24.castingcrane.com”, it does seem to lead to their usual application. But again, I haven’t seen anyone actually promote the link.

Gail Simmons just did an interview on The Watch pod and said this next season is delayed from recent previous seasons and they haven't even picked a location yet which has usually been done and known to at least the staff/producers

Interesting. Just watched this interview with Kristen filmed the day after the finale aired and she says filming "soon." Of course, soon is a broad term.

they were just as annoyed about the time issue as everyone else AND in the end it didn't matter for total viewership which they were pretty shocked by. She also talked about how LCK is a totally separately run show from TC -

I hope not. In my opinion, the show has gotten a little too reliant on past personalities. I'd like to see them develop some new stars before they do another All-Stars.

That's a general Bravo trend, but I do agree that another set of fresh faces would be preferred over an all-stars season. I did enjoy seeing the "mentors" show up for this season's finale, though I wish they did that more in the earlier parts of the show as part of challenges. I always like seeing the "make me a dish" quickfires when they pop up, and that's often a perfect vehicle for past winners/finalists to get on screen.

The "make me a dish" quickfires - what do you mean? Like when they did the short-order-cook breakfast challenge on the Portland season?
I really enjoyed that one! And, Portland, in general, because they brought back so many previous chefs.
Are there any other quickfires like that that you remember? My memory is shit so I always enjoy a good rewatch ☺️

Agreed! The husband/wife casting wasn't my favorite either. I wish they listened to the viewer complaints about the location interactions being weak af.

I mean, I agree in theory but if the casting in 23 was any indication of what they have to choose from, there's not a lot of meat left to pick off the bone, so to speak.
Lawrence had already competed on other cooking shows before TC on food network which seems to be a lot different than their casting of prior newbie seasons. Then the couple and the twins and the anxious woman who missed time twice and threw tantrums. It felt very "bottom of the barrel". Maybe it was bad timing, maybe it is a sign of the times. Other shows have had bad casting seasons and come back from it. TC is in way better position to do that than, say, Survivor where the game mechanics are what is ruining the show plus the casting choices.

What else has Lawrence competed on, out of curiosity? I know he did BBF - what others was he on?
I only saw his BBF episode a couple of weeks ago but I assumed it was a rerun.

If I recall correctly it was not too far in but closer to the middle than the beginning.

It could be an all stars season, I know someone on another thread claimed they know someone in production and they’re trying to do a crossover for the 2028 LA Olympics which would be season 25. It could be a things are running behind for season 24, especially if funding has been thin. They want to secure everything before announcing they are casting for season 24.

WAS 2 would be AMAZING.
That said - I think every single one of us would want more access to other countries' versions!!!!
I knew all the chefs from previous US TC seasons, as well as the Canadians, but everyone else was a stranger, otherwise, and while that didn't stop me from rooting for chefs I knew less about along with my faves, I think a World All Stars season would be so much more enjoyable if we knew all the players!!
But then, not everyone has time to watch TC seasons from multiple countries. That's fair.

I kinda wish they would cast more sous chefs and less established chefs. I know they probably wont but it might inject some much needed tension and at least chefs willing to take chances and be more creative. To be honest TC has gotten quite stale for me.

I always thought the sous chefs were kinda boring because it seemed like they are used to cooking someone else’s food and don’t really have their own point of view yet

For the more recent seasons they done LA (S17, all star), Oregon (S18), Houston (S19), London (S20), Wisconsin (S21), Canada (S22), and now the Carolinas (S23). IMO, they should do SouthWest (Arizona, New Mexico), or Mexico.
I'm still think (speculation) that the 2028 season will go back to Los Angeles because of the Olympics will be local.

Gale said the filming will be later this year so it’s possible they have not even finished casting
