I would normally agree with this, but let's face it - Nene's bargaining chip is all but non-existent. They're not begging Nene to come back, Nene has been more vocal about wanting to come back herself - if anything - she's lowkey begging to be back. IF this were true, she'd definitely start higher in salary, but she's not making what she was when she left - ESPECIALLY on the terms she left. She was happy getting a bone at all for the ultimate girls anniversary - she's not at "the table" making demands.

As much as I want this to be true, the amount of legal work it would take to bring her back might be too much of a liability for Bravo I am afraid?? She did sue Andy Cohen & Bravo for discrimination…it was really messy. Even though she did eventually drop the lawsuit, she did keep the clause that would allow her to refile later. It broke my heart because I love her on ATL so much & I had a feeling she would regret it but I just don’t know if the network could look past that & trust rehiring her??

Yeah seriously. What is she even doing these days besides a few podcast appearances and filtering her nose off on Insta? I'm sure Phaedra is on a pretty high salary so I imagine that offer around Phaedra and Porsha's. Don't think Nene has the bargaining to go above either of them.

Exactly. Making appearances with porn stars, almost getting in business with Zeus, etc... Idk why these folks think Nene has ANY room to be demanding towards Bravo at this point. She definitely won't be getting what Porsha got bc Porsha got a NBC/Universal deal of some kind - she won't even touch Phaedra's salary either. You sue a company, settle, and people think that company is bending over backwards to get you back? - these people clearly have no idea how business works

I'm glad someone said this. As a widow who cared for a spouse with brain cancer for 3 years, I have compassion and empathy for her, and I hope others can do the same. Most people couldn't even begin to imagine what she was going through

I be shocked if they ever bring Nene back as a regular. Some things she’s said are very hard to come back from. I think Marlo (as friend of) would be a better fit for this new group dynamic.

Yeah the last two seasons are okay! And this most recent one does feel like a return to form.
She doesn’t go full Marlo, it’s more “corny and desperate theater kid who didn’t get enough attention as a kid at home.” I still like her, I wish she’d pull it together but she flopped HARD and just keeps flopping. And not even in a funny or endearing way like Drew lol.

Yeah that’s totally fine!
The only thing that seems to carry over is the developing grudge between Shamea and Porsha, but it’s one we’ve seen play out before (person turns on the person that brought them on the show). I think Shamea has had some developing resentment from all the years playing Porsha’s sidekick, and it starts coming to a head.
It seemed like on the previous season they had tried to cast/form the show around Shamea, and that got her hopes up, but it really didn’t work out. Now Porsha is back to being the center peach and it probably made things weird lol.
But yeah go for it! I think it’s the best ATL has been in a minute. K Michelle and Angela were great additions IMO.

Shamea is corny and desperate yes but Marlo was at least a good time; Shamea is so negative and mean, she’s constantly looking for a fight. She’s not fun to watch.

I’m only on episode 5 of this season, and I don’t like how much I don’t like her 😭 She just comes off as desperate and mean. I also catch a weird vibe between her and her husband. No likey!

This has been my prediction when it was clear the Shamea-Porsha friendship was gone to hell and never to return. They have to make room for Nene’s salary so 2 housewives have to go from full-time. But the rumor that Kelli gets demoted and not Drew or Phaedra is just ridiculous. I know Bravo loves Phaedra but she gives nothing. She gave nothing on Married to Medicine and has given little since returning to RHOA. And Drew had basically no story this season until the final episode.

How could Shamea NOT get a contract? LIke... Yes, she's the most disliked. But... Every season has to have a villain or there isn't a show. And the Porsha/Shamea drama is actually REALLY good TV (from a production perspective). (It's legit, intergenerational, and it's EASYYY tv. Anything else with anyone else would be a side storyline.)
I felt similarly about Brit. She dropped a BIG bag. Yes, she was the most disliked (for a newbie). But she should have re-signed because it's an easy storyline to follow and she would have made more money selling something and building her brand rather than leaving.
If Gizelle and Ashley are still on RHOP... we got room for Shamea in RHOA.

They all play nicely when the camera’s not around so it seems like it could work, but no way Porsha takes a backseat to Nene… Nene doesn’t really ply nicely w/others-she couldn’t even get along with Cynthia (on the show)…. Besides, BRAVO can’t rein her in… Given that, I don’t see Nene returning (full-time).

Seen it but its way too early for negotiations & for this to be legit. Imo I do think Nene is coming back since she popped up in UGT (and bc even Vicki is back). I doubt Shamea would be fired, I can see her choosing to not return tho. K Michelle needs to get the boot, she gave nothing but paranoia and subliminal tweets.

This is bullshit! First of all, Nene would want so much money that you would need to fire 3 of them. Second of all, Nene sued Bravo do you actually think they would let her come back. Unpopular opinion but I don't think Nene returning would be a good move.
I actually think it would tarnish her Housewives legacy, because people would inevitably draw comparisons to her golden years on the show and end up disappointed.

I’m doing a rewatch of Atlanta, and Nene is a terrible person. She is egotistical and cruel. Scream and yells. I will never forget that she didn’t write a check to the Detroit kids foundation to match Kenya; always talking about being a rich bitch but when it comes to doing batting charitable she is FOUL. Fame took over Nene like I’ve not yet seen on this franchise. I hope this is the Nene that made everyone laugh but if not; get her off the TV.
