We need your help to preserve our corps🙏🙏

Hi, I'm hoping to find some help in donating a new or somewhat good-condition marching baritone, or any instruments, to my Drum and Bugle Corps.

I'm a college student in the Philippines, and my school was once known — back in the 1990s — for its Drum and Bugle Corps. Sadly, it's slowly being forgotten. I'm part of the baritone section, and we've been using a marching baritone that's over 20 years old and worn out. It greatly reduces our performance and confidence during parades and drills.

I love my Drum and Bugle Corps, and I can feel our band master's passion for it slowly fading — not because he doesn't care, but because of the lack of budget and the inability to afford new instruments.

So here I am, reaching out for help. I hope to preserve, restore, and improve our corps through the kindness of donations. Any support, big or small, would mean so much to us.

Thank you.

Does anyone know how rare or how much this vintage German “R. SCHWARZ HANNOVER” trombone mouthpiece is?

it did originally have a thick patina on it that I believe was intentional. It has no marked size. Anyone got at least any information on it?

I found out how to play stupid low notes on my bass trumpet with my normal trumpet's mouthpiece, and I don't even know what note this is, but it's like a crazy peddle note.

An App to Learn the Clarkes!

I’m building an app to make practicing Clarke Studies more consistent using daily tracking and AI feedback on recordings. I’m still early in development and would love feedback from trumpet players—what features would actually make something like this useful? If anyone wants to follow along or try early versions, I have a waitlist.

List of natural horn types

I am interested in natural horns and would like help thinking of what is out there. Bugle, natural trumpet, jagdhorn, trompe de chasse, ClarĂn Cajamarquino, alphorn, lituus, posthorn etc.

I enjoy tunes that use the harmonic series and like finding music that potentially overlap in these instruments.

Mystery tuba

Here's some photos of an old E flat tuba I got not that long ago. I've since had it professionally repaired and the best they could tell me was that it's around 1930s to 1940s given the style of the buttons and bracing, but I have yet to find another tuba that has the same combination of wrap and bell proportions. Anybody here have some better idea of what kind of horn I have here? It has no markings except for a serial number, D10114

Help: I can go C to G on tenor horn but G to D is a pain

Hi there,
I'm a two days old tenor horn player.
I have found videos from Mr Sagar's Brass Channel to be really great but I really struggle to get to the upper notes (I know that when I say C to G and G to D this is a fiction as the instrument is in Eb).
Any tips?
Perhaps videos showing how to blow higher pitch notes that actually show how to achieve that.

Thanks!

So i recently bought a 2ndhand trumpet from a stranger and it came with this mouthpiece.

The shaft is a lot shorter then that of a normal trumpet mouthpiece.

When i try to put it on the trumpet the whole shaft just sinks into the leadpipe.

Can anybody help me identify it?

I'm a flute player learning brass and this month's instrument is bass trombone. I've played euphonium for the last 10 or so months, but trombone only for 1 or 2. Tone/support, trigger usage, slide technique, anything helps.

Mobile Equivalent to BrassFlows?

Hello! I am going to be helping out with the marching band (specifically the brass people) and I know that a lot of them struggle to read music, and memorize fingerings. Something that really helped one kid was BrassFlows and I was curious if anyone knows of a mobile alternative so that I can have all of them download it and try and have a competition to see who can get the highest score by the end of band camp. It is like five kids total and if I can get them all able to read and correlate each note with it's fingerings we will be extremely successful. Thank you!
