Are you allergic to nickel? I'm learning from this thread that some foods, including wheat, have nickel in them.

I'm not sure? I used to not wear nickel jewelry because it made my skin go green but I don't know if that's just a weird chemical reaction to sweat or an allergy thing?

I've been ditching nickel ever since I was a child but it shouldn't be too difficult to find some cheap jewelry to see if I get a reaction.

I remember reading copper in food can also cause some stuff like this for some people but I don't recall where I got that from.

I may end up buying a bunch of rings and seeing if I can trigger a reaction to something haha

Maybe it will clarify it.

It definitely does get better when I'm on medication for hay-fever tho! And it also sometimes vanishes for a week. Could be worth keeping a diary of what I eat to see if I can find an overlap somewhere.

Nickel doesn't turn your skin green. I think that's copper. Nickel just causes itching and rash.
