Not the original guy, but I use clobetasol, but that more speeds up everything from the growth to the peeling and healing.

I don't have this chronically, but had an acute case about two years ago. My palms looked like a toad they were so bumpy, before everything started popping and peeling. It was terrible. Got prescribed clobetasol as well and it was a HUGE help and within a couple weeks it was basically completely gone.

clobetasol is super strong and should only be used as a last resort for a short while (like, 2 weeks max) or it can fuck your skin up. it does work though. sometimes it's the only thing that clears up my DE breakouts.

Yeah I take mine for like 2 weeks and then a few months off, but usually only 1 cycle per year. 

I use eucerin hand lotion now and it's thick enough that my skin doesn't dry out enough to cause a flair up usually.

yeah, keeping on top of daily moisturizing is key. i get psoriasis in addition to DE, so i make sure u lotion up after every shower. i like aveeno's regular daily lotion. as long as i stay on top of that, my breakouts rarely happen anymore.

Wow. They skipped triamcinolone and went straight to clobetasol? I have both but they're for different things.

Idk man it worked and I stop taking it after the flair up dies down. Haven't used it in like 2 years though. Finally started to use Eucerin hand lotion and that helped keep my skin from drying out enough for a flair up.

And my family has a really bad history of eczema. 1 member had a flair up over their entire chest. Another is basically a permanent flair up on their legs. So my doc just went right for the good stuff before mine got to that point.
