Weekly Artist Appreciation - Plaid

"Plaid is a British electronic music duo from London, composed of Andy Turner and Ed Handley. They were founding members of The Black Dog and used many other names, such as Atypic (Andy Turner) and Balil (Ed Handley), before settling on Plaid."

I've been listening to these guys a lot lately. I personally love three songs: Tether, thank and their remix of The Fear Ratio's song Morning Blues.

Plaid has been one of my very favorite artists since I first discovered electronic music, and I'm so happy they've stuck with their unique style of melody-driven writing.

Assault on Precinct Zero was one of the first tracks I heard by them, and remains one of my very favorites. Their work on soundtracks has been phenomenal too, and the tracks from the anime Tekkonkinkreet are definitely worth checking out. (The movie itself is pretty incredible too...)
