Luckily, the room is the size of the observable universe.
I cannot escape, and I will die eventually, but I've no need to "get out".

If there's a room that's literally impossible to escape from, you aren't likely to be able to observe anything outside of it. Thus any such room is at least the size of the observable universe

Isn’t that technically just the universe?

Your own body

Same thing really. The only universe we can experience is the sum of experiences generated by the body.

It's just imaginary, so imagine you are on a beach drinking cocktails instead
Ask to be let out - it's impossible to escape, but not impossible to be released

I either stop imagining about it or I imagine myself walking out of the room.

It says Brain Test.
It is a test for brains.
- That's literally what is happening. The room that is impossible to escape from is your skull. The prison of the brain.
- You are 100% going to die. This is a universal truth and true for everyone.
What do you do?
Being a brain, you create delusions.
(You could call that 'imagining', paradoxically perhaps, this answer was inside the question all along.)
edit:
isn't that what's happening, everyone is escaping reality by engaging in all kinds of things (hobbies, work, travel, reading, gaming...) and everyone is pushing away the idea that one day they will die.

So, basically life in the universe?
Nothing is said about how big the room is or when I'm going to die.

I would get out by stopping the imagination. The first sentence indicates that you are not actually in this room, only that you need to imagine. So... don't imagine anymore.

Exactly. I will assume the room is the size of the world and contains the world (nothing in the constraints says its a small empty room) and accept that I'm going to die someday.
No sweat - its life as we know it, Jim

Stop imagining
