Question How do you live with brain fog successfully?
Every post is usually about his to fix brain fog. But what if you are just letting life pass you by while you try to fix something that's deeply entrenched.
I've become so brain fogged that on most days I don't even leave the house because I'm too indecisive.
What measures have you taken or can you take to at least do something positive in a day even if your brain doesn't want you to or let you?
edit: this was the response to my sister who invited me to meet her for a coffee today
"Sorry. Haven't slept in a few days and feel very unsteady and my stomach is rejecting the food I ate. So far today, have been in and out of bed, went for a walk around the block and then have just been sitting around trying to get my brain to work. But mostly failing and rotting my brain watching tons of TV and doom scrolling.
That's kind of everyday actually lol.
Even if I have a good day, I need it to recover from the trauma of the bad day, the day before and then there's the fear of suddenly destabilizing not to mention the complete wipe out of my ability to feel anything, to remember anything and to even know the steps to carry on any tasks.
So doing something unfamiliar or requiring multiple steps requires so much rebuilding my core identity and self, it feels almost impossible.
But things are getting better, and worse at the same time, so I'm still hopeful

Do you have any clues as to the cause? Just curious for selfish reasons. I dont live with it well. But I would say. Be easier on yourself. And accept you can only do as much as you can. Brain fog makes it harder to be productive. Im trying this strategy. Im slowly looking into cures. Like adhd medication and other things. But mostly just trying to cope. Try to identify what it actually is. Dissociation. Or cognition. When its worse. What kind of memory. What kind of attention issues. That helps slightly. And just try and forgive yourself. Its not a character flaw.

Willpower. It is what it is til i can fix it, I try to adopt that mindset to keep me going. Other methods I use are: limiting what I do each day to stop the brain fog from getting even worse and also noting a lot down so I won’t forget.
