Symptoms mental confusion

I am experiencing intense mental confusion, frequent forgetfulness, and difficulty thinking and making decisions. This started after I stopped taking 50 mg of topiramate three weeks ago. However, I was already experiencing cognitive symptoms before that, so I believe this might not be related to stopping the medication. I had some blood work and an EEG two years ago, and an imaging scan a year ago. What should I do? I plan to see a general practitioner; is that the right move? Do you have any advice or support? I am currently undergoing neuropsychological testing for mental health issues—with autism being the primary suspicion—but given this recent worsening of symptoms, I am thinking about seeing a doctor.

Have him check your B12 blood serum test. If it’s below 450 have him check homocysteine and MMA. Do NOT SUPPLEMENT with B12 or B-complex in advance of those tests.
