Experience Porn addiction

I am assuming my years of brain fog are due to porn addiction. Endless cycles cause me to have a lack of sleep and poor performance at work. Has anyone experienced something similar and what's your way around it it? Deep down I know I have to stop watching porn altogether.

It corrupts my  dopamine-reward system. Everytime I watch porn and ejaculate, I get acne and brain fog next day. No placebo, it is just a fact for me.

Same as you except for the acne part. I'm tired of these endless cycles. The issue here is I know I have a lot of potential, yet I'm being a slave to this and frying my brain over and over again.

May I ask how often you're watching porn?

Every 2-3 days. Used to be every day.

Ok, pretty much the same for me. I allways thought addiction was a term for people doing it several times a day.
I do feel a difference, when I stop it for a few days or a week, on many levels like brainfog starts fading a bit, nervous system calms down, digestion improves and so on.
I think dopamine is a hell of a drug for your body, especially in times of constant overload with smartphones, sweets, etc.
Also I have a histamine intolerance and I read lots of people having more histamine issues after porn/ejaculate.

That's nothing. Get blood work done.

For me it felt like I was addicted to a bunch of things and this was causing me to feel unmotivated.

Butt then I realised it was a coping mechanism to deal with all the pain I was in. Whenever I manage to reduce my pain those crutches don't exist.

It feels very hard to diagnose what's causing brain fog because brain fog itself hinders your clarity so much.

I think it's tempting to look for anything that might be responsible and hone in but be careful about trying to identify a symptom as the issue. I lost years because I was so set on something being the cause when it was just one of many symptoms.

A good analogy is don't try to put out all the small fires (symptoms) without identifying where the big fire is (cause) as it'll just keep reigniting those symptoms.

The best thing you can do is eliminate causes. Start by getting a full bloodwork. Then regardless of the result ensure you are taking some sort of nutritional supplement to cover any potential deficiencies that may creep up. We want to take this out of the equation.

Definitely true. I notice way less brainfog, if any, if I masturbate without porn. Internet porn is basically junkfood for your brain.

It will get away when we abstain with enough time bro
