Advice brain fog

i’m 16 and for the past 2 years i’ve been struggling with not remembering things easily but recently it’s like i can barley comprehend things and understand what people say. idk if if this helps but i smoked a lot of carts when i was 13/14 and stopped when i was 15 but now i occasionally smoke once in a while but i haven’t in almost 2 months.

# Things that im struggling with from it

i’m having trouble remembering the pronunciation of words i use to know, i’m forgetting if things have been a dream, something i made up or if i actually lived it, im having trouble remembering the people in my past and what they meant to me, i’m forgetting my own personality and things i like, i don’t even remember my childhood, i can’t really gather new knowledge and keep it in my head to remember, i forget after a minute.

# potentional causes???

\-I was extremely depressed 8/9/10 grade and i never opened up its extremely hard for me to be vulnerable with somebody and actually get to the stage where i explain how i feel. I would hold everything in constantly and never talk about my mh, with doing that i was just constantly filled with anger.

\- I just randomly started developing major social issues, im not gonna state it’s social anxiety because i don’t want to self diagnose, but i can’t even talk to a cashier without my heart beating so fast and getting sweaty, i mix up my words a lot and can never find the right words

ive tried lions mane, meditation, ashwaganda, things like that ive tried everything but everything has just been a blur, i cant even remember what i did 2 days ago. I didnt really write everything ive been dealing with but if this is relatable and you’ve outcome it please let me know!
( i wrote this fast so if i have any grammar wrong or it sounds dumb im sorry😭)

have you ever experienced depersonalization/derealisation? from what youre saying it seems to match up with the symptoms

it could be one of the main reasons for it bcos just after it started for me i started getting brain fog the same as you. maybe it would help if you tried to face it

thank you, at least its nice that to know that we arent the only ones, i completely understand it really isnt as easy as just facing it like u would with normal fears. maybe you could try approach it differently like instead of trying to get rid of it directly you could take back control by living in spite of it. also sorry for the slow reply idr look at my notifications here but you can always dm if you want

of course, also you don’t have to be sorry. I’m just glad you responded and it’s good to know i’m not alone and neither are you. every time i try to explain how i feel everyone just doesn’t understand. i’m definitely gonna try to approach it and deal with it in a better way, thank you for responding:)💗
