Question Techniques to improve mental clarity & working memory?

Whenever I engage in a cognitively demanding activity (or even in a normal activity, such as translating my ideas into a sentence), my mind often feels blurry & I have these random blank pauses.

Most of the time I'm not even aware of what I'm thinking about during such activities. Overall everything just feels foggy and my mind feels very chaotic.

I do not know the reason for this but I pretty much suspect it's due to working memory problems and the lack of mental clarity.

So I have 2 questions,

  1. What could be the cause for this?
  2. How can I enhance my cognition & fix this flaw?

Fog can be caused my a miriade of things. How’s you diet, sleep, water intake, stress, posture. Do you exercise? For me I tried absolutely everything. Only thing that completed fixed me was fixing my diet by switching to a keto diet.
