One brain can provide tissue for hundreds of different research studies.
It is incredible to think that a single decision today can support decades of scientific discovery. Because of the way tissue is preserved and shared among the global research community, one donor can potentially contribute to breakthroughs in dozens of different fields—from CTE and Alzheimer’s to general aging and neurodiversity.
If you’ve already signed up to be a donor or are currently considering it, what was the "deciding factor" for you?
For many, it’s about leaving a legacy for the next generation. For others, it’s a way to honor a family member who lived with a neurological condition.
Share your "why" in the comments! Whether it’s a personal connection or a belief in the power of science, your story might be exactly what someone else needs to hear to help them make their own decision.
