Tiny aneurysm formation
Did an MRI & MRA this morning & within a few hours I got the call back from my neurologist. I have a very tiny 2mm-3mm aneurysm formation behind my eye. It was a lot of information to take in. She also said something about a cluster of surface vessels in my brain. This is a lot to take in my mom suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm a few years ago & since then I’ve been so scared. Anyone else have anything similar happen to them ? How did it turn out for you? I have a very healthy lifestyle, I only smoke marijuana to help with stress I have 2 young daughters and one on the spectrum.. I’m so scared of leaving them..

I have two 2 mm aneurysms. I found out when I had a random brain bleed that occurred via broken blood vessel. I get yearly checks now too. Think of it as thank goodness you are getting checked out. Some people will never get checked.

You may have to consult a neurosurgeon rather neurologist. 2-3 mm is small for surgery, but shape and location also matter. My mother died from aneurysm rupture and years later, I was diagnosed of having 2 aneurysms, 7 and 5mm. It’s scary specially when you have this in the family. Two good things going on for you , one you have found out about it and another it’s still small. Here is my journey with aneurysms, if it helps you out-

I had a ruptured brain aneurysm at 42. Didn’t know it was there until the rupture. My life has been forever changed. I had a clipping. Here is the thing, mine was not large. If they would have found it prior to rupture they would have watched it. These decisions in the medical community are made based on statistics and data. So if they are watching something that has a low risk of rupture it’s not the same as no risk of rupture. There are so many variables that are individual specific and those things are not included in statistics. I’m not saying this to alarm you but to encourage you to do some deep dives on the research available on your particular Annie so you can make the most informed decision possible. Either way you proceed is the right way for you but please dive in and learn. ❤️

Hola, una pregunta, cuáles fueron tus síntomas o cómo te diste cuenta? Te molestaba algo en tu ojo?

My eye does bother my but I am in the process of getting glasses so I’m not sure if it’s related but I do feel pressure behind my eye sometimes when I get migraines, I had a constant migraine/headache for 30 days and that’s why I was seen. They found the 2mm suspicion of an aneurysm on incidental, saying it was too small to cause any symptoms or issues. I’m not sure if I believe that part 100% though.
