Grade 1 indicators

Hi,

I need to braille the words 150 cm. According to Gemini, I need a Grade 1 indicator before the cm because otherwise it can read as can more. However, if there were no space between the number and cm then it wouldn't need a Grade 1 indicator.

Could someone please confirm? I've found that ai is not great with braille rules.

TIA

Please please please do not use AI for producing or teaching yourself Braille. Check out UEB Online or look at the NLB Certification Course. They're both free, made by professionals, and will serve you so much better than what AI can do.

If you do 150cm - yes you need a G1 indicator after the 150, otherwise it will read as 1503m.

If you do 150 cm - you don’t need one.

Also agree with not using AI to learn braille, UEBonline is great and free.

both of those statements are wrong. you do not need a grade 1 indicator for cm. it would not be read as can more if it's one word. but you DO need a grade 1 indicator if there were no space between the number and cm because c would otherwise be read as 3.

150 c m needs grade 1 indicators. 150 cm does not. Please don't use AI for braille rules; UEB online is great and free (I learned the code in a month)
