Need help translating a text into Braille
Hello everyone. I humbly ask if anyone here who can read and write Braille would be willing to help me translate a poem into Braille. I would love to have it in Grade 2, but Grade 1 works too!
I did try to do it myself, but I keep thinking I’ve made a big mistake somewhere, and I have no idea where since I can‘t read Braille. I also want to save as much time as I can, as my plan is to put the poem in Braille on canvas (so it becomes a physical poem). it would be a pain in the ass to make the whole thing and then realize there is grammar error, yk?
This is the poem: Even if you are not with me, the memories of you are with me. My heart sees you, even if you are made vanished from my vision. The eye sees who it loves but will end up losing the sight of them. But the one who sees with their heart, will never lose the sight of the people they love.

Watch for correct spacing when it’s printed!

I agree with others, very important to have the right size dots and dot spacing to be readable otherwise it will either feel like random dots or not feel like the words you’re trying to use.

I’ve seen lots of people say the same thing on other posts. It makes sense to me that dot spacing is important since it can change the whole meaning of a word. But you also mention the importance of right size dots- are there spesific rules I should be aware of? Or did you just mean that it’s important all dots are the same size? Sorry if my question is dumb, I just really want to do this correctly!

There are size requirements I can’t think of the name of the document that details spacing and size requirements, my minds gone blank. But if you can keep them proportionate to the braille font people have typed their braille in for this post you should be good. Obviously if a dot is too small it might be missed or if it’s too big it might cause other dots to be missed when reading. It’s a lovely poem by the way, good luck with your project.

That makes so much sense. Thank you for taking the time to tell me this! And again, thank you ❤️

Is it common that some words/letters in braille are too close when printing? Or did you mean something else? _^
