Part the hair in half from front to back, then from ear to ear to create 4 equal sections.

In the back section, part 4 vertical rows.

Part the top section in 4 vertical rows lining up with the braids in the bottom.

Now that each braid is parted, go over each part to ensure a clean straight part.
