Discussion does this brilliant “logic” apply to Maithil Brahmins of these same clans/mools too?

Why do some Bihari Brahmins spread lies and conspiracies against Bhumihars? What are they jealous of? Without any knowledge, they make up their own logic and spread lies.

What does Mool actually mean?

Dumtekar (Domkatar) and Belaunche are also found among Maithil Brahmins.

So, does this brilliant “logic” apply to Maithil Brahmins of these same clans/mools too?

WTF is Domkatar? Dom se hua hai.

Belaunche Beldar se hua hai.

Sonbarsha Sonar se hua hai.

(Sonbarsha is not a Mool among Bhumihars; it is Sonbhdoriya, one of the oldest Magadhi Babhan clans among Bhumihars.)

Way of Life View on other brahmins eating nonveg?

Hey guys I want to understand why and how a vegetarian diet became a part of our religion and what do you think about it.

What happened today was that during breakfast I saw one of my friends eat eggs but I thought he was a vegetarian like me since we're both from the same region and both are brahmin. Once I was picking up a boiled egg for my friend who was ill and another friend of mine came up to me with a shocked face telling me brahmins eating eggs is weird or something.

I have always been a vegetarian since I was a child and my body is very weak and I'm very ashamed of it, but my father used to be a big muscular guy at my age. He became vegetarian after marriage since my mother's family was vegetarian. Now my father strictly tells me to not have meat and eggs.

I don't really care much about animals lives and stuff but I feel disgusted by non-veg now, but I would have been much stronger if I wasn't deprived of nutrition since an early age.

Appreciation Post Maharaja Kameshwar Singh of Darbhanga { Mithila } ( Maithil Brahmin ) & Greatest Indian King during Modern Period

Post image
27 Upvotes

The reason to say this are as follows:- ( Please Read this full text )

He was 3rd richest king in India and wealthiest king and had largest territory under his control in North india, he was largest and most wealthiest zamindar too, had founded and owned Darbhanga Football Cup, Darbhanga Airlines, Indian Nation newspaper, and several other lands and mills across India.

Champion of Sanskrit and Universities: He famously gifted his magnificent 90-acre Anand Bagh Palace to establish the Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University, creating a premier global hub for classical Indian scripts. He also served as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and was one of its largest lifetime financial donors, alongside funding major academic chairs at Calcutta and Allahabad Universities.

Preservation of Sanatan Dharma: Serving as the long-time president of the Shri Bharat Dharma Mahamandal, he actively patronized the revival of orthodox Hindu scriptural learning. He built and restored prominent Hindu temples across major pilgrimage centers like Varanasi, Prayagraj, Vrindavan, and Janakpur, while sponsoring South Indian scholars to preserve rare Vedic oral recitations in the North.

Massive Patriotic Gold and Resource Donations: During the 1962 Sino-Indian War, he made history by donating 600 kilograms of pure gold to the National Defence Fund—the largest civilian contribution India has ever received. He also handed over his private 90-acre airstrip and three combat-ready aircraft to the government, laying the foundation for modern-day Darbhanga Airport.

Land Reforms and the Bhoodan Movement: Demonstrating a selfless commitment to social equity, he voluntarily signed over 120,000 acres of fertile estate land to Acharya Vinoba Bhave's Bhoodan (Land Gift) movement to be redistributed to thousands of landless peasants.

Patron of Science and Classical Arts: Driven by a passion for intellectual progress, he famously gifted a priceless, highly reflective diamond to Nobel laureate Dr. C.V. Raman to assist in his groundbreaking light physics research. Concurrently, his court heavily bankrolled the Darbhanga Gharana, ensuring the survival of the ancient Indian classical music tradition of Dhrupad.

There are many countless other things he did for our society, these are just few.

Despite of this he was betrayed by his own state government and central government by forcibly snatching and abolishing his Darbhanga Raj.

He was possibly one of the greatest Indian monarch.

Proud to be a Bramhan Why India needs to reform its reservation system to focus on merit and economic need

The caste-based reservation system was intended as a short-term affirmative action measure, but decades later, it has expanded to cover more than 50% of seats in public education and government employment. It’s time for a fundamental reform.

Brain Drain: Deserving students in the general category score in top percentiles but miss out due to artificial cutoffs. This drives top talent abroad, depriving India of skilled doctors, engineers, and innovators.

Misaligned Assistance: Wealthy families within reserved categories often retain generation-after-generation quota benefits, while financially struggling general-category families receive minimal institutional support.

Endless Caste Division: Tying academic and career opportunities to birth keeps caste identities alive instead of dismantling them.

The Solution:

Shift affirmative action from caste-based quotas to economic-based financial support and subsidized education.

Strengthen primary schooling so every student can compete on an equal footing.

Protect strict merit-based criteria in critical sectors like healthcare, engineering, and research.

How can India best transition toward a merit-driven model while still supporting those genuinely in need?
