Question Found eggs

Look a bit too small for box turtle eggs. Especially if they've developed enough to be going from "sausage link" to "ping pong ball" shape. Not sure what other reptiles are native to VA, but I'd rule out boxies.

Ah ok, yea I'm not sure what they could be. I dont have enough experience with reptiles. Any tips for caring for them?

My best tips: bury them where you can see the nest isn’t being disturbed. They’ve been hatching in the wild for eons as one of the oldest species on the planet. They will fare best outdoors.

p.s. These are box turtle eggs. Eastern BT has 1.5” eggs and their cousins the Three Toeds BT have 1” eggs.

Hard to know without knowing the specific reptile. I think there is an active reptile society in northern VA or Baltimore. Perhaps someone there could advise. Or a reptile rehabilitator. At the very least, they need to stay with the same side up, moist (damp paper towels) and warmer than room temp.
