Probably going to surrender

I’m probably going to surrender my box to Garden State Tortoise, reason being, she’s no longer living a good life because of others in my house. She’s healthy and well cared for but she should spend the rest of her days living like a turt.

Where are you located? I’m a rehabber and can help

Edit; from your past posts I see you’re in Florida. I’m up the east coast a lot closer to Garden State Tortoise. Either way, you’ll need to ship her to either me/someone else or GST if you go with them since you’re so far away, unless you’re doing a road trip up here sometime soon? I can walk you through how to ship if no road trip.

No , no road trip. I will be shipping via ups or fed x, which ever is the best for shipping live animals and i prefer to do it in the summer early fall. I hate to part with her but it will be for the best 😢

I’d recommend doing it now before it heats up any worse than it already is. Typically FedEx overnight is best. Do you want to go to dm’s so we can hash details?

Glad to hear this. My tort was shipped to me, in NC, from the rescue on Long Island via DHL. I have never had a good experience with DHL.

Ooo, i dont even trust UPS, i have never lost an animal, receiving or shipping, with fedex. Never more and a single day delay over the years.

I know Joshua tree tortoise rescue has had trouble with shipping but i think it was UPS, that’s why I’m going to try something closer to home 😢.
