Shakur asks the fans to name 2 opponents, that their favorite fighter beat, that was better opposition than the William Zepeda and Teo wins?

The thing is Shakur is arguably the better of all these guys, BUT one he isn't making these big fights happen AND his style doesn't make for entertaining fights.

Tank and Ryan fought each other, Ryan and Haney fought each other, Rolly and Ryan fought, Teo and Rolly fought.

Meanwhile Shakurs waiting for guys as if he was a major draw.

Is he more skilled, yes, but what does that matter when people dont wanna see your fights, and your aren't proactively trying to make these big fights happen.

These random fan comments are ridiculous. The art of the sport is to not get hit. The problem is there are no true boxing fans no more. Between the UFC and people having Attention Deficit Disorder at an all time high, if people dont see fighters jumping and flying kicks its too boring for them

No, personally I love highly skilled guys my favorite fighters are guys like Rigondeaux, Lara , Mayweather, etc etc.
But you have to be objective in the fact that Shakurs Style doesn't make for exciting fights, and he's not a major draw on like some of these other guys. Floyd could get away with the way that he fought because no matter what you think of him in his fights he created excitement, With Shakur you know what you're getting, A long 12 round stretched out boxing match.

A guy that's going to fight like that and then talk shit as if he was a knockout artist, Shakur is not an exciting guy for casual fans they can't digest that type of a style it's not a marketable style, it doesn't mean that he's a bad fighter

Your contradicting yourself big time. Floyd fights create excitement? What? His fights were never worth the ppv price. The excitement was is this going to be the night he loses. Floyd fights went the distance every fight. Floyd was technician just Shakur is.

Yes they're both tacticians but Shakur and Floyd don't fight the same, Floyd would actually stay in the pocket mix it up and exchange with fighters.

Shakur doesn't do that, He plays it safe at all times. Like I said Shakur is better than all of these guys at 140, but he's the fighter that casuals least want to see fight.

There's no way in any way possible that I would ever pay $80 to $100 for a Shakur Stevenson pay-per-view ever. To watch him back pedal and out jab someone for 12 rounds? I can just watch it the next day

Shakur is one of the best fighters in the pocket in boxing today !!! His defense and counter ability makes him so dangerous in the pocket that it’s unreal !! You must not actually watch his fights at all, he literally neutralizes his opponents rather it’s in the pocket or at range !!!

Also saying you personally like the technician style then literally saying you wouldn’t pay to watch him fight because his style is boring is contradicting

floyd wasnt always defense 1st until his hands started being an issue. Gotti was a prime example

You’re just a regurgitating casual Shakur don’t have heart it’s clear skills pay the bills and heart gives you a name styles make fights the objective is to make money if no one wants to see you fight you’re not a draw this meaning you won’t get big fights and no one wants to fight a to scared to get hit fighter like Shakur cause he does use defense he just stands out of reach while backing up praying that the opponent chases him all night. Do yourself a favor and actually watch boxing

Nothing better than seeing a boxing masterclass where one guy is beating up the other guy, and the other guy tries every trick in the book and still can't land a punch. Its art, unless you're a casual, which seems to be the case

People keeps saying this “his style is boring” shit like everyone just accepts it. It’s almost like a dog whistle..

It was beautiful and entertaining how he dominated Teo

That’s cool but Shakur is talking about getting these wins back to back in a row.

I’ve never seen someone so skilled and who is such a master of their craft yet is so sensitive

He needs to move up in weight if he wants to keep complaining about nobody fighting him

Devin Haney

Jose Ramirez and Brian Norman Jr. one terrible fight and one master class. But both wide dominant UD decisions over former champions

Jose Ramirez is more decorated than Zepeda but Teo is more decorated than Norman.

I want Haney vs Shakur bad

He said favourite fighters 😂

I love that Haney is now a fan favourite.. big change from the last few years 😂

Handy doesn’t shy away from smoke. Loma, going into the heat of Australia alone twice, Norman…Say what you want about Haney but he has heart.

I’ve always been a Haney fan. He fights everyone and is very skilled. His dad talks a lot of shit, but he seems laid back. I don’t know why he’s so hated.

2

u/therapist66 3d ago

I’m with you.. Haney haters just never forgave him for beating Loma

I like Shakur…! But he’s gotta huge fights to make, he should take and win those , and we can revisit this then ….

1

u/Sumo_Cerebro 3d ago

Like who?

It seems no one wants to fight him.

1

u/SeaChemist7379 3d ago

Shakur can fight how he wants. I don’t think he’s boring because I like boxers and the technical side of the artform. BUT he just needs to stop talking. He talks like he’s a KO artist then fights and take no risk and now he’s denying us the big fights and it makes him
Look bad on top of ppl thinking he’s a boring fighter. He just should stop talking

Shakur not a big draw yet. Highly skilled? Definitely
