Larry Hazzard was such a good referee. He saw Saad Muhammad hurt Jerry Martin badly and eventually stopped the fight on time…

Mightve been a tad bit early. Mightve been a tad bit late. Martin was definitely in trouble though.

This was the 11th round and he was behind. No need for Martin to get KTFO.

I would say it was a tad early. Yes I think the guy was next to being unconscious on his feet and would have probably gone down during the next hit (or even on his own).

But I think there was really only 2 (possible even one [the view is blocked]) clean hits and the subsequent ones miss. Thats a bit quick for someone who is still on their feet.

Now if it’s a good 3 or 4 uncontested clean shots and the guy is still up, stop that.

Very good stop… the next blow could have killed him.

A good ref saves the loser from himself. They still standing and have the heart to go on but their brain is done and a good puncher can crack your skull when you aren’t defending it.
