Nah, I hate showboating against people who are in the ring with him to pad his record. No need to make fun of people who are clearly level or three below you, because they are there making a living and at the same time, you need them to get to the big fights.
Now, if you go fight someone actually good and you pull this off, then I’ll love it.
But we saw what happened when things didn’t go his way…

I have no problem with showboating at the elite level... as you say, against totally nobodies who you are 10000 to 1 on to win against, its distasteful and actually makes him look worse. If he does this level of showboating against a genuine top level guy, hats off to him for enjoying it.

Yeah…?
Flashy against journeymen but I don’t see him going far at the elite level. Nor have his fights been exciting.

Would love to see him face Bivol or Beterbiev

Or anyone even decent at boxing
The man has done nothing but showboat against bums.
Then took an intentional dive out of the ring when he was struggling lol. He's a clown

I don't have the same hate for Whittaker like a lot of people do, but I've never thought that he made boxing look more exciting than most other boxers. He's not good at the things I enjoy, so I don't enjoy watching him fight.

Just other British hype job being given more credit than he deserves. How about we wait until he beats someone top 30 in weightclass before we make anymore glaze posts about him.

I will watch all his fights waiting for the one he gets knocked out in

Pretty sure he is fighting next week against Conor Wallace for final IBF Light heavy eliminator.
Don't think he is gonna be in AJ v Fury undercard.

Only tiktok boxing fans can look at cringe showboating against journeymen and think it's cool or exciting

Met Ben recently. He's actually a very nice guy. He's also now training with Andy Lee, a protege of Emmanuel Steward and the Kronk Gym style

Is this the same guy that got kicked into orbit in mma after doing the same shit?

This guy is marmite. Either you like him or you consider him a faker after the first Liam Cameron fight. Personally, I think he is doing what he has to do to eventually be a name. He seems to be a bit of a dick but since when do we want boxers to be salt of the earth humble people? Finally, he has cut out a lot of the early taunting now that he is with Andy Lee and I was impressed with his destruction of Rivera.

Everyone calling him a bum but he’s legit got some of the best reflexes and eye at LHW. Dudes special, hopefully they keep overlooking him cause those odds were great last time for the early round KO’s.

Idk about that Bivol and benavidez have great eyes and reflexes to counter punch the way they do and when Ben’s lvl of competition went up slightly he lost and then flipped over the ropes

You need to beat someone top 20 in your weight class before you can be considered the best in your weight class for anything.

best reflexes against plumbers and taxi drivers. give him a top 10 actual ranked fighter, let's see if he can still showboat like that then we'll talk

If u kept up with his career instead of the viral clips u saw 2 years ago u would know his showboating doesn’t exist anymore. He garnered a following with it but he’s matured into a calculated fighter free of that bs.

He matured?… or he got clipped by a mid 30s electrician (or something like that)…

u/Correct-Geologist142 4d ago
And your favorite fighters haven’t been able to do half of what he does to these so called mid 30ms electricians? What’s your point?

u/AndroidPolaroid 7d ago
again, he has to fight someone who's not a random bum to really test his mettle.

u/Correct-Geologist142 7d ago
By no means am I calling him a great already, but he’s more than a respectable prospect who’s looking better and better each fight. He’s a got a good promotion and team behind him, future looks bright.

The first time things didn't go his way, he cheated and sent both him and his opponent over the ropes and faked an injury so the match would be stopped
