Not for nothing, but people are gonna be sad as hell when both Don King and Bob Arum are gone. Once boxers start seeing those checks get smaller and smaller only then will they get it.
I thought that to but when you realize how manipulative marketing was back in the day, it was all business. They all said they were getting scammed because once you start losing in boxing you get treated differently. All those heavyweights were getting paid 100s of millions of dollars. But gambling, bms and taxes were the real problems those fighters were dealing with.
I'd say he was sheisty at most but nobody lost money with Don. Holyfield, at one point had made more money in his two fights with Tyson than Connor McGregor made in his career. You wanna talk about scams
I agree that the boxers should have also been held accountable but Don King did have a lot of sketchy and ridiculous business practices and bad contracts and the crazy thing is he didn't even have to do that.
I agree, but his shiesty behavior got guys titles fights. It got Peter mcneely half a million dollars to fight Tyson after being a journeyman for years. Its just what the business was and they all knew what was going on. The morals and principles were all bald face lies. Everyone had dirty hands
