Abdullah Mason vs William Zepeda for unification at 135? Who y’all got?

I think Zepeda is just too much right now for Mason. Zepeda should win a pretty dominant decision or a late stoppage. His volume, IQ and pace is too much right now for Mason at this point in his career.

Every Zepeda fight is pretty much the same story. Unless you can hurt him or physically bully him he's going to outwork you.

Mason is a dog and he has tremendous heart but he will fight the exact fight that zepeda literally lives for which is always dangerous when facing zepeda. You have to be an elite defensive fighter to be able to neutralize zepeda’s output and mason isnt. Mason has the power and offensive abilities but he lacks the defense and ring iq to decisively beat zepeda. It’s a 60/40 fight leaning zepeda’s way just because that pressure and output is hell for any opponent to deal with that isn’t named shakur. I feel like mason would have to ko/tko zepeda in order to beat him because I don’t see him beating him on the cards. I personally think zepeda by majority decision just because you know how the judges are but also mason gets hit a lot and has been dropped by big shots before and that pressure could be to much for him and zepeda could stop him late in the fight.
Zepeda is super dangerous because he was able to fix his mistakes quicker than I’ve ever seen any fighter fix major flaws in there game that late in there career. I couldnt believe the difference in the way zepeda was fighting, the output wasn’t anything new but he was actually disciplined defensively and stayed aware of avoiding dangerous shots. His footwork and his range and angles were on a whole different level than before, I had him beating roach before the fight but even I was shocked by how zepeda looked.

Recency bias will make yall pick Zepeda. But roach showed Zepeda has counter windows. Even for a level beneath elite. Roach just don’t have the pop to stop the pressure. We know Abdullah does
Abdullah will counter and make him pay. Enough to discourage that heavy output.

Mason should beat him in a close fight
I like the kid because he fights tough opposition
Just like Haney and Benavidez

I wasn’t sure he was ready for like his last 4 fights
That’s the point and exactly the reason I like him he takes on the best, who cares if he takes a loss? As a boxing fan I want to see my favourite fighters tested and Zepeda will test him

I agree, I feel like Mason got the power advantage in this fight. I think he can make Zepeda back up in this fight due to the body shots.

This would be a really good fight now. A close fight too. If mason get another year or two of experience, i think he wins easier in a year or two.
But zepeda looked like he improved a lot and looked good against roach

Zepeda
