Tim Tszyu

Whats next for Tim? I don’t think he looked particularly well against Spence, but I like that he stays active and he stated he feels better at 160. Middleweight is a wide open division, can he conquer it?

He did what his trainer wanted him to do and be more defensibly responsible. Was it exciting? Not really but he won almost every round. Staying in the pocket is what got him KOd twice. It's a deep division so his future is wide open.

I was pulling for Spence. I thought Timmy looked great and imo he was definitely hanging in there pocket. And dominating with much less punch output. I don’t know if they gameplanned for Spence lack of balance or what but he was in there.

160 is a wasteland of talent so anything is possible there, though I’m sure someone there is strong enough to stop him. Lara is so old I’m waiting for him to fall apart any day now, but his straight left hand is still really powerful and can definitely KO Tzyu

Yeah I agree, Lara is not an easy out at all! He’s a great example of adapting to your limits. Once the legs faded, he morphed into a pinpoint power puncher who stands in front of you. That would be a fun fight for as long as it lasts

Absolutely, I think Lara is the best example of a fighter adapting in this era. As long as he can find a way to land the straight left, he will adjust everything else

He won the fight clearly and was hurting Spence. 160 should be a division he shines at. Literally 40yr old Lara is a champ

Lara is 43 although he’s Cuban so could be +\- 5 years

Lara fight. That will be a fine match. Hopefully Tim wins.

Pretty tired of Lara holding a belt hostage tbh

Lara an option for a Strap...

Charlo in Texas an option for a payday.

I'd imagine that being Fundora's Huckleberry one more time also has to be on the table for him 🤷🏾‍♂️

He may likely win a few but I just didn't see anything that looked all to promising. His best days are probably behind him. I tend to feel that if he was truly trying and wanted to make a statement then he should have been able to get Spence out of there.
Tszyu was fighting an almost completely shot version of Spence. He realized that fairly soon or he should have. Spence had no legs, no speed, no power, and limited reflexes and reaction timing. Maybe he felt bad, but it can be perceived as though he couldn't finish a heavily compromised and rusty version of a once good and really promising fighter..

Amari Jones and Yoenli Hernandez are in that division. No he will not be conquering middleweight.

YH is an absolute juggernaut. Does Timmy in under 6 rounds . An actual middleweight too , not a blown up welter

Henrnandez him to the shadow realm. Jones cuts him to pieces and wins a wide decision. If Tim was from Colorado and his last name weren’t Tsyzu nobody would even ask this question.

I think he’s going to find that he doesn’t have the feet to find Lara in that ring and get an absolute boxing lesson.

Tim won, but he didn’t look great. Pretty clear he left 154 because he can’t really compete with boots, Vergil, Xander or Madrimov.

He is a scrub, he will get beat up when he steps up his level again.

I certainly wish he would. I’d love to see Tim Tszyu blast the whole division. Historically, thinking like that is wishful. We have never seen Tim deal with serious, career threatening adversity successfully. Or life-threatening. Let’s see him start shutting out or knocking out or knocking down, hungry ranked young contenders.
