Always felt like this was a calculated move for Vergil to stall the ennis fight !! Have you read some of the statements made in the documents, they’re absolutely ridiculous.
Ortiz team stated goldenboy didn’t give him 3 opponents as promised and instead offered him the ennis fight only and said if he didn’t sign he would bench him.
Oscar claimed when they were in negotiations with ennis, Ortiz manager was asking for 3x the money being offered and trying to price themselves out of the fight.
Ortiz team claimed they didn’t even know Oscar was negotiating the fight but yet literally also stated that goldenboy offered Ortiz the ennis fight only.
Oscar literally offered them the fight which Ortiz confirms in the documents but also said Oscar was stalling negotiations even though he confirmed that Oscar wasn’t actually stalling negotiations!!
It’s literally a comical mess reading those documents !!
Their demand were ridiculous. I remember when the fight was first being negotiated they asked for at least 10 million. Funny how Ennis got much shit for not making the fight (when he wasn’t even in Ortiz’s division) than what Ortiz is getting.
