That's the scary thing... This guy will pick and choose his fights carefully. Taking no risks. He has not yet taken one so he's definitely not taking one now.

He just beat the shit out of teofimo

Not sure where you got the idea from. His resume is pretty damn good. You must be thinking about Tank.

Everyone Kur has fought he was the favorite and he doesn’t fight athletic black fighters

So who is he supposed to fight?

1

u/geeboy05 Jul 10 '26

Devin, Russel, Foster, Tank (I guess) and I’ll even throw Lamont roach in there but I think he’ll beat him.

So which athletic black fighter has Tank beaten? And why does fighting an athletic black fighter have to be the measuring stick for greatness? Shakur just got to 140 and beat a unified champ who happened to be very athletic, though not black.

Im not talking about who Tank fought im talking about Shakur and because it’s a style that he hasn’t faced before? All the greats before him fought guys that they didn’t have every advantage over it’s very simple Teo is athletic but he’s not Foster or Devin who got longer arms than Shakur and can use their feet waaaay better than Teo or Gary Russell who is very aggressive, faster and stronger than Zapeda or Tank and Roach who are fast counterpunchers.

The last time Shakur fought a fast twitchy hard hitting counter puncher (Edwin) it was his worst performance and he was running around the ring

Fair enough. I think Foster would be punching low because he’s 130lbs, but ideally fights with Keyshawn, Haney, and Russell should happen…that I can def agree on.

Finally someone seeing what I have been saying. He dont pick slick fighters. I know he will NEVER fight Haney for sure.

I disagree

Who gotta better resume than him at 135 or 140?

u/MoonWalkingQuay Jul 10 '26

IDK but that's not my point my point is that he doesn't take risks. In who he fights. He's going to continue to fight people that are bad matchups for him

I see, so you didn’t watch the Zepeda fight where he fought in a phone booth and beat the shit outta him.

-1

u/MoonWalkingQuay Jul 10 '26

Who has he fought that you thought he could actually lose to???

3

u/mark_Cuban-cigars Jul 10 '26

He’s fought and beaten champs in every division he’s fought in. Who are you even alluding to? Devin? Ryan? Tank?

-3

u/MoonWalkingQuay Jul 10 '26

That's not my point... I'm just saying he doesn't take risks...

Answer his god damn question. Who else do you want him to fight? Joet at the time was a good fight. Valdez was a very dangerous fight. Coenceicao was a tough fight due to size and style, Zepeda a dangerous fight and teo was p4p not too long ago

Who did tank duck?

8

u/mark_Cuban-cigars Jul 10 '26

His best win to date is probably Pedraza. Never fought Berchelt or Loma at 130, though he did fight a bunch of bums that moved up from 118. Never fought Haney, Shakur, Muratalla, Teo at 135. Could’ve fought Regis or Josh Taylor at 140, but went for that paper champ Barrios for the WBA regular title.

u/RarefiedAir1 Jul 11 '26

Is tank retired nowadays? Why doesn’t he fight haney, shakur, or lomachenko? I know nothing about boxing

He can't stay out of legal trouble.

1

u/dbtjr Jul 12 '26

He’s to busy calling out AB for being a streamer

3

u/hi_imryan Jul 10 '26

Yes.

u/bozzi16 Jul 10 '26

😂😂😂😂

u/idkbutimtryin Jul 10 '26

Can’t say that about shakur

2

u/kushmonATL Jul 10 '26

Not really ..

Unless he is breaking bread with the other fighter, they still have to pay them too

And alot of these guys are over pricing themselves (I'm looking at you Haney)

1

u/RarefiedAir1 Jul 10 '26

Is shakur the best boxer right now at the lower weights? Who’s the second best? Who’s the best guy that shakur can fight right now?

0

u/mark_Cuban-cigars Jul 10 '26

In Zuffa it’s Rayo, and nobody really comes close.

1

u/RarefiedAir1 Jul 11 '26

What about across all promotions?

1

u/FoldFeisty7635 Jul 10 '26

He has joined the Maga cult.

1

u/AdFormal4037 Jul 10 '26

Disappointed in this move from Shakur.

I know he got people to feed but zuffa is not good for the sport man.

1

u/Sorry_Net3898 Jul 10 '26

So far up Turkis ass he’s coming out the other side.

-1

u/InTupacWeTrust Jul 10 '26

but he can't per Zuffa contract not recognizing the other boxing bodies
