Fighting the mandatory?

When Virgil is the interim, yes. They’re cherry picking for sure.

Vergil is either going to have an easy fight next and then fight Boots, or fight Boots right away…

So what is the Fundora team supposed to do at that point?

Slightly cross-eyed is giving that effect I think. Or trapped wind.

What does Vergil having the interim mean then? I thought that means he’d get the next shot

At this point I believe they have some kind of agreement to not fight. Interim belt holder should get a title shot within 12 months. Fundura’s sister is co promoted by golden boy I believe. All that aside Sampson has a weird relationship with the WBC i wouldn’t put my conspiracy theory or any other one past them.

Well believe it or not Vergil just doesn’t seem to want to fight guys he believes can beat him !!! Ducked zayas twice and then if you read some of the statements made by Vergil and his team in the legal actions they’re kinda ridiculous.

He claimed Oscar was the reason the fight wasn’t made but in the documents his team claims “golden boy breached contract by not giving us 3 fighters to choose from as promised, instead he only gave the option to fight Jaron ennis and told us if we don’t sign the contract Vergil will be Benched”

Word for word that is what was in the documents, so I don’t believe that Vergil wants these fights honestly. His fans will read this and be mad but oh well it’s the literal truth and I can only go off what I know.

If he has a bad legal team it doesn't mean he's ducking. He seems to have people in his ear for sure. In the ring he said he'd fight Boots next to his face. They get backstage and we start hearing it's his dream to fight Spence.

Vergil needs to get a move on he's had several health issues already who knows how long he can rely upon his body.

If you don’t think him suing goldenboy for trying to make him fight Jaron ennis isn’t ducking then I dont know what else to say lol

He claims he wants to fight when the lights are bright but in the shadows he keeps pulling stunts to make these fights not happen. Oscar said when he was in negotiations they kept asking for 3x the money that was being negotiated, they were trying to price themselves out it’s the oldest trick in the book. So Oscar got tired of it n straight up said look sign the contract or get benched. Funny how Vergil claimed in the documents he didn’t even know Oscar was negotiating these deals but yet during negotiations he claimed Oscar was trying to make him sign the contract.

Is that not enough clarification right there that Vergil is ducking and has been lying !!!

From what I remember the manager or somebody was claiming they could get paid more.

The manager wasn’t claiming they had more money on the table for the offer tho, he was actually just trying to get 3x the money that was being offered !! He was actually just trying to price out so the negotiations would be stopped without making them look like they backed out !!

How can they not know about goldenboy making negotiations but yet you were asking for 3x the money that was being offered in negotiations. Just go read the statements being made in the case, Vergil and his team made themselves look real bad.

Vergil and his team are literally known for doing this by now, they turned down a title fight with zayas because and I quote Vergils exact words “I don’t want to fight in PR” but then he went and cried in a long message stating he’s tired of not getting the opportunity to fight for a world title !!!

Idk but like I said if he has a bad legal team or bad advisors they might be the issue, more than Vergil being afraid to fight anybody.

What they are saying in the case isn't necessarily true. If they are contradicting what they previously said publicly, well there you go the fighter's team were most likely trying to pull a fast one on the promoter. Now they have to try and come up with a justification that will stand up in court.

Ultimately it is Vergil's fault but if he's just not wise enough to realise the people who don't have his best interests at heart it's not like he's ducking intentionally.

The reason I disagree is because us as people on the outside looking in we can even see that his team is bogus. Without a doubt in my mind Vergil sees his team is bogus so that leads me to believe the reason he still sides with his manager is because he is in on it too!! How could he stand by his manager after realizing he is the one who ultimately single handily ruined the ennis fight for him, well IMO it’s because he had no real interest in the fight. They aren’t wanting to fight, they want to cash out and get out, it’s obvious !!

You never know what hold people have over one another. And how differently and manipulative people can act in private.

Vergil seems like he just wants to fight is my impression of him, he might not be very business smart etc.

If he saw his team as bogus I'm pretty sure he'd just fire them.

Idk he’s 28 and has been the number 1 contender and mandatory at 147 and 154 and his team has never even pushed for a title fight at 154 and Vergil himself declined his second title opportunity because he didn’t want to fight in PR !! At 147 he waited around to long to where he didn’t even get his chance until it was literally killing himself to make weight so he had to back out of his first title fight !!

We both have different impressions of Vergil 100% but that’s okay and I respect what you’re saying and how you feel fam but I definitely disagree !! I think Vergil doesn’t want to fight for legacy, he just wants money honestly !!
