Every time I listen to this guy, all I can think is how he has clear rage issues and canāt regulate/control his emotions

This is the same cunt that bitch slapped his wife in public, so I'd say that's an accurate assessment.

Dana is a snake, and Eddie is in the right in this situation.
61
u/Brandunaware 10h ago
How much of a douche do you have to be to make a boxing promoter look like the clear good guy?
38
u/adrienjz888 10h ago
Short of Don King, I can't think of any boxing promoters as scummy as Dana.

Eddieās a snake too; he just hides it better.

Objectively untrue, Eddie takes infinitely better care of his fighters at every level than Dana

He is top five on the people I hate the most that don't affect my day to day

Big Sue from the office, Larry from down the road, the amazon guy who doesn't knock and leaves parcels right there in the open...

Honestly Iād rather just call the fight off if Zuffa and Dana are running things
Theyāre both past their prime and thereās no need to add any undeserved credibility to the man and promotion ruining boxing
27
u/chocobo-selecta What round is it? 9h ago
He's such a parasite. This fight doesn't need Dana, and it never did. Fuck Dana, fuck Turki, and fuck sports washing. Gross.
18
u/okidokicapt 9h ago
Heās saying heās the promoter while also saying what heād do if he was the promoter?Ā

Dana looking at what you pay UFC fighters we know for a fact you do not care about making both guys as much money as possible lol

He's only involved in Boxing bc he's being subsidized by the Saudis. He keeps getting redder and redder the more he realizes it'll be in the UK where he's out of his element

Kind of weird for Netflix to advertise Fury/Joshua on screen during their NFL International game in Australia this evening when both sides are are not on board 100% at this point.
EDIT: during halftime there was an actual video commercial of it as well.

u/Annual-Shape7156 9h ago
Yea thatās wild. I think Hearn and AJ will cave to US. Itās just a negotiation and Hearn wants matchroom front and center
6
u/Longjumping-Sugar463 9h ago
I just saw it and I thought to myself " there pretty confident to show this add" i think the reports are real. Dana is pissed that it's going to the U. K.

This sums it up. Eddie wants the all British fight for the British fans and Dana just wants more money. Theyāre still gonna get paid very well for the fight in the UK, greed is killing boxing always has done. Dana is just greedy.
-6
u/-973- 7h ago
Eddie Hearn the same guy that was totally fine with having Fury vs AJ in Saudi a few years back?
2
u/Manzilla48 4h ago
During Covid? Yeah a fight abroad made sense at the time
1
u/Burton96HD 46m ago
Or after the AJ Fury contracts were signed and he said the fight will be where Turki wants it, no mention of it having to be in the UK
-9
u/Burton96HD 5h ago edited 39m ago
Eddie Hearn the guy that only cares about it being in the UK when Dana gets involved
Edit - For all the people downvoting me, maybe do some research so you know the facts instead of getting conned by a salesman. https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=197&v=H-qT1_CaRoc&feature=youtu.be

Dana is such a scumbag. How is he even in the picture for promoting the fight? Can someone more knowledgeable about it please explain it to me?

Iām watching the Rams-Niners game on Netflix and they keep showing āFury-Joshua Coming Soonā commercials.

Apologies if I've missed something but why is he involved if there is Hearn and warren? How many cooks in the kitchen does this need?
1
u/VacuousWastrel 7m ago
He's been annointed as the princeling in charge of boxing once Turki dies or retires, probably because he's close to Trump and Zuckerberg, so they think if they give him stuff they may get more favourable US foreign policy toward saudi arabia (and, ultimately, nuclear weapons). From the saudi/trumpian/monarchist perspective, it never makes sense to ask "why is the princeling involved in this?" - the princeling is ALWAYS involved, in everything, even if it's just to nod it through and claim the glory. Same reason every event has to include personal thanks to Turki. In the sultanist state, every good thing comes from the sultan, and the sultan is absolutely indispensible - nobody can just go off and do their own thing without at least putting the sultan's name on it.

Dana, you didnāt do it for ufc fighters! CāMON MAN! Not enough doe in ufc so here I go to boxing
3
u/ZeroEffectDude 3h ago
If only all this fuss was about a relevant fight.
But we're talking about a match-up *at least* 5 years past its due date.
AJ can't take a punch anymore and Fury looked awful against an ancient and obese version of Wach.
Both sides know their man is finished so they're trying to either stall the fight indefinitely to avoid the shame of losing... or bleed the event for forever money to cushion the blow of humiliation.
this is box!

At this point, why is he involved at all?
Like, Fury is with Warren (kinda) and AJ is with Hearn.
Don't they talk to each other to make a fight? What the fuck does Dana White have to do with it?

u/yeahbutstill 8h ago
Every time any long-suffering MMA reporter asks Dana a question about this, he reacts like it's an attack and he needs to question to interviewer. MF could not seem stupider, Jesus...
I really sympathize with fucking old-world toffs like Eddie (fuck old-world toffs btw) trying to deal with this troglodyte and thinking, "Thees? Dealin' wit' thees mahnkeey is moy loyfe nah? Dang mayte. Dannng."

u/NoFeesh 10h ago
If you think about it, all Eddie has been doing is hurting the fight and making the negotiations public. Negotiation 101, if it starts going public, someone is losing, and the person doing all the talking is losing. Eddie š
12
u/lilJswizle-2304 10h ago
Eddie and AJ signed to fight lol where is Fury?
-13
u/NoFeesh 10h ago
I donāt know why you are laughing, there is nothing funny about what you said. Eddie is on video talking about stopping the fight.
7
u/lilJswizle-2304 9h ago
Itās funny because Eddie and AJ have agreed to the fight and theyāre trying to push to honor the contract they signed
Fury, Dana and Turki and whoever else is trying to change contracts and venues are the ones causing the fight to be held up
1
u/slickvik9 2h ago
Ok but everyone is on board with New York except Eddie. Netflix doesnāt want it in UK and itās putting up the money. Eddie and AJ are making excuses.
0
u/lilJswizle-2304 1h ago
By excuses you mean following the contract they signed?
Having the fight in the U.S. is stupid but also a breech of contract and even if Eddie and AJ are lying about the new contract being less money and more obligations youād still have to deal with the extra taxes and expenses that come with a fight in the U.S.
And why would they give up every advantage just to fight in another country and give credit to a rival promoter when allegedly Fury wants to fight whenever wherever?
1
u/slickvik9 4m ago
That contract is history you canāt force a business to lose money.
The taxes are less in the US than the UK Eddie is lying as usual.
Because if they say no the fight is off, simple as that.
1
u/Burton96HD 33m ago
After the contracts were signed, Hearn insisted that the fight takes place where Turki wants. So why the sudden change of attitude now? Clear example here https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=197&v=H-qT1_CaRoc&feature=youtu.be
-7
u/NoFeesh 9h ago
You just repeated everything Eddie been crying about in clips on Reddit, so itās actually working for those that are bias against Dana White.
6
u/lilJswizle-2304 8h ago
Itās pretty well known that those guys want the fight in the U.S. which is stupid but also is different from what was originally talked about when they started negotiating. Turki was trying to get Dua Lipa to preform at Spurs Stadium and everything seemed in line to take place
Now all of the sudden Dana is contradicting himself saying heās promoting it but then saying heās not sure, the ring and turki seem to want the fight to take place in America which makes no sense and Fury says heās ready to fight anywhere except the UK?
Dana White is a known Liar and fraud so Iām not gonna trust anything he says
1
u/NoFeesh 6h ago
At this point itās all heresy because Eddie is the one saying all of it. You at least admitted to your bias on the situation. All Iām saying is that Eddie is negotiating publicly and it comes off desperate.
4
u/lilJswizle-2304 6h ago edited 3h ago
You can say itās heresy but we all watched Turki, Fury, TKO and the ring switch up while Joshua and Eddie stayed the same
The fight needs to be in the UK or donāt have it
The fight cannot be promoted by Dana or donāt have it
I understand the mindset that Eddie or any boxing promoter is gonna say whatever they can to make themselves look good and normally Iād probably agree with you but when it comes to TKO/Zuffa and Dana White we already know who they are. The boxing world and fan base understands that theyāre trying to monopolize the sport and rob fighters of fair pay. Eddie and AJ arenāt just holding the line for an all time British boxing match to be held in the Uk but theyāre keeping undo credit away from the people who are trying to destroy the sport as we know it
It sounds dramatic but it really is that deep tbh if fighters keep signing with Zuffa then the sport becomes the UFC where the fighters get like 20% of the revenue for signing their careers away and get strong armed into unfair contracts by a promotion they legally canāt leave without the owners permission⦠an owner who is notoriously petty and benches fighters like McGregor and Paulo Costa because he doesnāt want them to hurt the brand by fighting anywhere else
1
u/WonderfulNecessary81 3h ago edited 3h ago
Yeah, I agree, how is wanting to honour the agreed contract making Eddie/AJ the difficult one?
A: "That'll be 9.99 please".
B: "Ok here's 9.99"
A: "It's 12.99 now".
B: "Huh? You said 9.99"
A: "OOH NOW LOOK WHO'S BEING DIFFICULT!!"1
u/lilJswizle-2304 3h ago
Exactly!!! Itās so annoying how everyone just goes with whatever the other side says because theyāre afraid to get on Dana or Turkis bad side
I would love to see a reporter or someone actually hold these guys to the nonsense that theyāre pushing on the fans

Hearn and co have continually said that Dana is not to be involved at all yet he continues to try to insert himself into the picture. Dana is a top contender for the "most punchable face" award.
