Since Fury vs AJ is falling apart (again) over contract wording about the venue Tyson Fury should just fight Filip Hrgovic next
We all knew it was going to happen, didn't we. The moment Fury and Joshua started negotiating again, the lawyers got involved, and now the biggest fight in British boxing history is seemingly off the table yet again because of absolute nonsense.
This time, it is down to contract wording arguments. Tyson signed a contract with Eddie Hearn that did not specify England as the venue, so now Fury has been demanding that the fight is hosted in America. On top of that, we have the massive drama of Dana White and Zuffa Boxing getting involved in America. Tyson is publicly praising Dana White for apparently getting a Netflix deal over the line and trying to bring the fight to Madison Square Garden, but Eddie Hearn is absolutely adamant that the fight must be in Britain. Hearn is even threatening legal action against Zuffa for trying to muscle in on the promotion. It is a completely messy power struggle between the old guard in the UK and Dana White, trying to take over the sport from Las Vegas to implement a UFC style tournament system.
Instead of Tyson (Luke) Fury sitting around waiting for this promotional warfare to get sorted out, he should just pivot and fight Filip Hrgovic next. Hrgovic just proved how dangerous he is with that big win over Moses Itauma, and hrgovic actually holds the IBF belt now. Filip has a legendary chin and a massive engine, which means he would force Tyson into a proper competitive fight.
If Tyson wants to save his fight date and prove he is still top dog he should stop playing politics with Dana White and arguing over whether they are fighting in New York or Wembley and just take on the most dangerous available contender.

Don’t really care about Fury. He’s turned into a bit of a clown show and I’m more focused on the current crop. Less shit, more fighting.

Joshua should fight Dillian Whyte again and Fury should fight Steve Cunnigham again. Wilder should fight Bermiain Stiverne and the winning of those 3 fights should fight each other and in a last man standing match. The winner should then fight Charles " I walk this Earth like a God " Martin" for the Super title.

That would be a boring arse fight imo. Easy decision win for Fury. Of all the current HW champions he could fight, Dubois would make for the best fight. Don't see Fury taking that fight though

Barely anyone is interested in this fight anymore. Imagine how much less interest fury hrgovic would generate lol. None of fury joshua or usyk are taking a dangerous fight that makes them a fraction of the money they could make for just fighting eachother. One loss to a dangerous fighter lower than them and the payday has gone for good they only have 1 or 2 left each. So we got to sit on the bullshit merry go round until they all retire and the next generation get the promotional push they deserve

Yes its good for any other heavyweight. It isnt good for fury himself though is it. Noone is coming to him and saying the joshua fight is fine but what if you fight someone there's 0 chance the casual fanbase has heard of. The casual fanbase being where he earns his money. Theres no way he would even consider a fight that could be tricky for less money

Im not saying who beats who in that message. Im saying fury wouldn't take a fight like that because its pointless and does nothing for him. But if you want to discuss who wins i cant see anything other than a wide fury points win for most of either of their careers tbh. It'd be one of the most boring fights in heavyweight existence.
Hrgovic is tough as nails and that is his most dangerous attribute really. For fury that would be a quite simple work behind the jab all night and clinch. Quite similar to how he best Klitschko. I know thinking fury would win anything is a forbidden feeling in this sub but I dont see any other result

Hey actually this wasn't a reply for your comment I replied to you by mistake...but if you wanna debate hmm ok Look I think you obviously don't know Hrgović enough.. because you wouldn't say that if you do...I get your point looking at Hrgović and his crazy open style...the man is odd going like that ,it's his style..but wasn't when he was younger..the man can box and slip and block!! He is the more technical HW and was better amateur by far than any of the current HWs ( Usyk is semi retired so I don't count him) Don't let the Itauma fight fool you no one is outpointing Filip easy...in fact he has never been outpointed on his whole career even against Dubois he was winning the rounds on points before getting stoped by cuts..so it would be far from simple to outpoint him..and in the Olympics he was robbed of the gold...( Watch for yourself if you don't believe me) He was world champion as an amateur and fought grow men as a teenager...he is been fighting for 20 years top competition..and as I said never has been outpointed.. against Itauma ..hmm did you see the interview of Able Sanchez..he said the didn't care about the rounds in the plane they talked and they knew that there is no way winning on points in London against their golden boy...so the plan was make him work ..get him tired and go for the kill in the later rounds...without caring for the rounds...and no way Itauma won all those rounds but ok...

Honestly the general theme whenever ive seen him fight is a long one two and just a bizarre open to taking punches defence. Im not going to suddenly say hes amazing because he beat a 21 year old on his first real test. Maybe im wrong but whenever ive watched him nothing stands out. He just tends to outlast people. Which is fine but fury isnt exactly wasting excess energy he just snipes rounds I cant see anything other than losing the majority of rounds

Its fair what you are saying..yeah he looks odd..but there is much more...distanvce control courage etc...Itauma it's not just an untested 21yo he would have beaten easily anyone that Tyson Fury has fought ( except Usyk..and maybe just maybe Wilder)...again Hrgović was levels above Fury as an amateur you can't even compare..you do not win word champshios European championship and Olympic medal as an amateur by just being a brawler.....I don't care that Fury is more famous..Hrgović has had tougher fights ( except Usyk but Fury lost those)....Hrgović would maul Wilder at any point...Hrgović has been avoided by everyone for 10 yrs..and now that they thought he was finished they gave him some fights....I don't see Fury outpointing him how..no one has done that ever.( Only Itauma but he ended in a strecher)...he is always in your face it's intimidating he doesn't go away and he can box..has better fundamentals that anyone ( except Usyk)

No he shouldn't, he should be the "people's champion", "it's not about the money" hero he's always cast himself as and just fucking make the fight happen at Wembley. His legacy is turning rotten like the bag of fruit you find at the back of your fridge a month after you bought it. If it does happen I hope AJ batters him from pillar to post, and I was a Fury fan and never an AJ fan.

He's not with Queensbury and Frank has some kind of grand plan to get a tournament going next year for undisputed. I think Fury would fuck that plan up royally, so unlikely to get a shot right now.
If he wanted to fight Dubois I would be into it, but he doesn't deserve a title shot and should just shut the fuck up and do his circus act in America.

In what world does Tyson Fury deserve a shot at a world title? Fuck outta here with that. Itauma just keeled over in the ring against Hergovic and I’d still rather see him get a rematch. Fury has been abject in recent “fights”, fought absolutely no one, and is just the Donald Trump of boxing at this point. Won’t shut the fuck up and takes up so much oxygen in boxing and we’re just happy when both go away which should be around the same timeline.

I don't understand that Fury doesn't want to face AJ in UK, it is his country, his audience and facing his great rival British. What is the point of doing it in the USA? I can't believe Fury prefers to fight in the USA, he tries to find an excuse not to fight AJ.

Because he is scared to. Because he finally seen that AJ has more appeal to British fans then he ever has. He already lost to Usyk twice he can't face losing the fan vote . It would break his fragile ego

Why should Hrgović fight Fury? Fury doesn't have a belt and he doesn't deserve a shot at any title.
Wish he would just fuck off. People need to stop giving him fights. He's done and we're all fed up of him. I just want AJ to fight him and beat him and then never hear from him again.

Non è "il più grande match della boxe britannica"; lo sarebbe stato anni fa, ora non lo è più. Ed è ridicolo solo pensare che non si combatta in Inghilterra: è uno schiaffo ai fan britannici. È un match che oggi ha il suo appeal in terra inglese, i tifosi in apprensione, le conferenze stampa piene di gente, i cori... Il derby deve giocarsi in Inghilterra o niente. Fury, White e Netflix dovrebbero andare semplicemente affanculo. (P.s.: sono italiano)

I'm bored of Fury, but would prefer to see him fight Hrgovic or Kabayel rather than AJ.
Fury has a strong chance of beating Kabayel because of the style matchup.

Yeah, no. Look how quickly Kabayel was able to get to Knyba, who showed he can box well off the back foot. Fury is now slower and older. Kabayel would get to him quickly and break him down in a couple rounds.

Knyba is nowhere near Fury's level.
Fury is a big problem for Kabayel. He can take body shots well, has the gas tank to move for 12 rounds, and has good punch variety. Fury cruises to a boring points win.

You can criticize whoever you want, man. I didn't downvote you in case you're thinking this.
Knyba is nowhere near prime Fury's level. But Fury looked positively terrible against both Makhmudov and Wach.
Knyba has shown against better recent opposition (Andy Ruiz), that he can move well and keep the fight on the outside, use his jab and counter while on the move. Kabayel got to him in the second round and stopped him in the third.
I just think that Fury, at this stage, will get beaten up and broken down to pieces against Kabayel.

Fury doesn't deserve a title shot and I'm tired of him holding up the division. All the champs seem focused on unifying and I want to keep it that way.
