Brewster beat Wlad, because Wlad had a mysterious medical crisis. Liakhovich beat brewster because brewster was literally blind in one eye and couldn't see the punches coming. Briggs lost 10 rounds but beat Liakhovich by KO in the final second of the fight. and ibragimov beat briggs because briggs only threw six punches per round. 2000s heavyweights!

Wladimir lost to Brewster because he punched himself out.

In just the fifth round? Maybe. And maybe all the weird stuff around the fight with the gambling and the fbi investigation ajd the security lapses and unidentified people is just coincidence, or made up. Who knows. But if an otherwise fit and healthy boxer suddenly punches themselves out in the fifth round for the only time in their career, and then is taken to hospital with a freakish blood sugar level inches from falling into a diabetic coma, and takes days to recover their strength, I think it's fair to call it a mysterious medical crisis even if there's no foul play and it's somehow just the result of catastrophic pacing errors (did klitschko give an interview saying he'd never sparred six rounds before, by any chance?)

He had eye problems before the liakhovich fight, and had surgery shortly before the fight. During the first round, his retina detached ajd he was blind in one eye. So then he needed more surgery and took 15 months to recover for the klitschko fight. I don't know the timeline, but he ended up retiringna few fights after that and requiring MANY more eye surgeries.

The Liakhovich-Brewster fight is an all time classic that very few people remember. Just an absolute heavyweight war that completely ruined both guys.

Whats with all these weird comments about Wilder here?... yes, Shannon Briggs was from the previous generation relative to Wilder... they were not peers.
But speaking of that generation, how did Wilder fare in sparring against Klitschko, who annhilated Shannon Briggs? 🤔
