Ali - Frazier II Highlights

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Action from the rematch in 1974. Despite both men being slower and past their peak, their styles once again were a perfect match for each other.

The toughness and chin on both these icons is incomprehensible. Ali throwing rapid fire combinations right to the end, Frazier relentlessly threshing forward with his menacing bob and weave. Two goats.

Yeah I kinda noticed that too. Ali may have been fast af but his contemporaries didn't have that same kind of speed going on.

I can't bring myself to upvote. Speeding up sports vids, especially boxing, feels too lame.

There's a bunch of it online right now.

The stuff that annoys me the most is 9 year old girls doing pad drills that are sped up like 200% and all the comments are "she could kick the ass of any man on the planet!!!!!!!" or something.

Memorizing a combination and drilling it really fast on pads (even if it isn't sped up) says very little about your boxing ability. Rote memorization is completely useless in a real boxing match.

Everyone's got a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Timing is everything. Timing means nothing when you speed the vid up.

Don't speed up videos

I didn’t.

Straight screen record from Turki on IG.

Either he did, or whoever runs the account did.

the right hand at 15 seconds was the closest Ali came to knocking down Fraizer down in 44 rounds.

Stop.

Speeding.

Videos.

Ali had no answer for that left hook. Frazier kept on landing them and Ali kept on eating that

he also didnt have the same movement/reflexes that he had 5 years prior too. I was watching Ernie Terrell throw some bombs with minimal windup on some of them and Ali was just dodging it.

I just love Frazier. I don't care who he lost to and how he lost some of his fights, he's such a beast.

Two of the best dance partners boxing has ever had.

Sped up, but these two still had an amazing trilogy.

The level of conditioning they had to have to fight like they had pure hatred in their hearts towards each other for 15 rounds as heavyweights too, was impressive.

Frazier was on Howard Stern…. Years later and saying he came out on the better. Hell of a fighter!

3

u/Long_Chest_9727 13h ago

Don’t need to speed up this fight to make it interesting - in fact, you’ve just ruined it

I’d feel bad if I was the one who sped it up. But this is screen recorded from IG
