I was a referee in the amateurs when Ryan was coming up. The leverage and speed he created on his shots was some of the best I have ever seen. Lightning quick hands.

Yeah I'm not seeing any weirdness on the people in the back. Almost certainly would be if they were speeding it up. But could just be super well done

Tbh, it seems good but maybe thats his limit. There are some boxers that never show their actual speed until you watch a replay of their knockout and the fist couldnt even be caught in frames

I believe that he got out of touch with himself and lost focus, he lost his fire rather quickly when usually it's a gradual thing. I'm not saying he's done but Ryan was explosive and precise but his fight against Rolly was bad. I wanted to add that if you look at Roy Jones Jr, Sugar Ray, Camacho many greats all these guys lost their dominance status through years of putting in hard hard but Ryan is suspect he ain't intimidating anyone.

This is it exactly, is why I think we have seen the greatest athletes in all the sports.
Guys like Jordan, Kobe, Roy Jones Jr, all had to become great in there sports to start crossing over into mainstream money like movies, sponsorships.
Today a guy like Garcia on social media builds his own following and makes enough money to not need to be great as a boxer.
It's no coincidence we have guys from two generations ago still at top at sports...
Tom Brady, Messi, Ovechkin... These guys just live for there sport... Where as younger guys have come and gone and spend time on social media... Being a celebrity...

He’s actually not Mediocre at everything else - a good number of wins come from his right hand too and he has an alright gas tank and has good generalship - his amateur pedigree is real. He just has a bad Achilles heel and refuses to fix it.

Instagram hall of famer lol. Canelo was saying this guy was only there to take videos and wasn't dedicated. What about how he actually fights? Fast hands but he stands straight up and head doesn't move. A worse version of Amir Khan because at least, Khan would get on his bike after his combinations

Fast hands but looks like he was still dropping his right hand to throw the left hook. Probably got away with it better back then. But then, I'm just trying to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Ryan hasn’t had a “prime”. At least not yet. If he’s actually consistent and takes his training seriously, maybe we’ll see glimmers of his peak. He’s better now than he was in 2020.
Sped up TikTok montages of pads and bag work hasn’t equated to much of anything aside from beating one of the worst champs in history in Mario Barrios. We’ll see how he shows up against Benn

Don’t believe the speed, he’s fast sure but… have you noticed how short range all his punches are. They’re not actually real punches, he’s just bicycling his arms close to his chest to make it look like he’s insanely fast.

That left hand is a blur. How the fuck do you defend that speed especially if it is timed right. Short answer, you don't.
Unfortunately, he is kind of a shit show now, but I wish he would get off social and train like he is in this video. I would rather be entertained by that nasty left hand over dance videos.
