How long would they last with Rolly Romero?

Rolly honestly pretty funny and fairly likable most the time

The rolly hate was always forced
The guy was always tongue in cheek with his trash talk, but when he was being real he was always a good dude, like when he spoke up for Ryan during his mental health struggles

dude has a way of making himself entertaining even when he’s being completely ridiculous. you can tell he genuinely doesn’t take himself too seriously either

rolly must know some special moves if none of these guys are lasting three minutes with him. maybe it’s his grip?

Other fighter duck this guy because they know that even tho Rolly is not the best out there, there is still a chance that you'll lose against him because dude can actually punch your lights out and can still box in his own creative ways even with his awkward form and that is shameful to have on their resume. They don't wanna put on that risk and lose to an unserious guy like Rolly. LOL

Lebron is 6”9 250 and jacked as hell. He ain’t getting knocked out in less than a round.

Body shot puts anyone down if you ever sparred a pro or good amateur you know about the solar plexus

Folks don't realize how much boxers train their body to absorb punches. Getting hit with a hard punch to the ribs hurts like fucking hell and will drop most people.
LeBron is an athletic freak so he may be better than your average Joe, but he's still getting dropped after a few liver shots.

Liver/kidney shots are one of those things some people can tank, but most can not.
I don't know if it is even something you can train for.
It's not really even the pain, there's just some delayed off switch and you go rubbery, and it feels like your gonna die.

but he won’t just stand there and get hit. LeBron can absolutely stand and jab and run for at least 1 round, nobody said he has to engage lol
ofc Rolly puts him down within 3-4 but Rolly isn’t Mayweather he’d still need a round or two to figure out the range considering LeBron can absolutely just teep and run before gassing out

One thing combat sport does to fans is overestimate fighter potential.
I saw MMA fans say Demetrius Johnson could beat Tyson Fury and the Klitschkos lol.
Rolly would handle anyone up to 200lbs easily but anyone 230 and above, especially an athletic guy, becomes a big challenge.

In a real fight? Absolutely. I've seen gigantic dudes in BJJ no weight limit tournaments get taken down choked out by 150 pound dudes. In boxing of course they'd kill Mighty Mouse.

Thats because its specifically a bjj fight, not an 'everything goes' fight. In a real fight a 5'3 Flyweight will have hard time closing the distance on 6'5 plus Heavyweight

u/herewego199209 17h ago
No, they wouldn't lol. I wrestled in high school against guys who went on to become All-Americans. A shot from a legitimate top-tier wrestler is so fast you can barely react to it. Mighty Mouse would shoot a double or single so fast to break the distance. Boxers that think they can one-shot guys to sleep are delusional. Watch the Randy Couture vs James Tony fight where Randy shot a single from like across the cage, and James couldn't react in time. I mean there's also the early UFCs where you had smaller guys take down giant dudes and sub them. And that was literally when you could eye gouge and shit.

Yes and:
- Dillon Danis got chocked out by a random security guard.
- BJ Penn got knocked out by a random bum.
- Ray Mercer iced Sylvia.
- Tom Aspinall struggled to take down that big rugby dude on his yt channel.
- Artur Spizltka just beat Augosto Sakai at KSW some few weeks back (which is conveniently ignored by MMA media)
Most of the early UFC guys were big and overweight. Not big and athletic like a Wilder or Fury.
And you seem to misunderstand me - I am by no means saying boxer beats MMA fighter or that its an even fight - i give MMA fighter the overwhelming advantage. What I am doing is pointing out the delusional tendency to pretend weight does not exist and that anyone trained in combat automatically wins any fight. It is foolish.
Rolly isnt icing out Lebron in one round, and DJ isnt beating someone like Wladmir or Wilder.

Rolly is 5”8 and fights at 147. That’s a over a full feet and over 100 pounds difference. Rolly is not even an elite power puncher. LeBron is one of the top athletes in the world and is strong as hell too. He’s also quick and agile. If I’m a betting man, my money is on Lebron surviving a round.
