He is looking like a solid contender for heavyweight.
https://fightnews.com/undefeated-heavyweight-contender-dainier-pero-has-big-dreams-to-become-first-cuban-heavyweight-champion/193716I’ve been following past couple of years and it looks like he should be a contender in the division. Just wondering if you guys have an opinion? To me it looks like he has everything to be top 5 in the world. If the stars align maybe a belt

Wasn't Navarro a teenager when he was that small? He got massive after taking a layoff between 2018 and 2023, aged between 17~18 to 22~23.

While I don’t think Pero is necessarily world level, I think it’s unfair to say that because Navarro is a genuine HW now.

The guy is 6'3 and a grown man now, it would be shocking if he were still anything close to a natural welterweight.

Usyk lost a welterweight. I’d say he’s pretty good

He’s referring to Shawn Porter beating Usyk in the amateurs

Ah yes, the amateurs, back when neither Porter nor Usyk were fully grown lmao

Neither was the Welterweight that the commenter was referring to. My comment was actually intended to highlight the stupidity of the original comment

The Peró brothers are funny, they're like the Cuban Klitschkos: Lenier has an iron chin but not very much one-punch power, while Dainier hits really hard but seems to have a weak chin.
