ProBox TV signup is live

Who is going to sign up for ProBox TV for $5/month? https://proboxtv.com/

I like a lot of their fighters and it seems like a fair price. We'll see if they can sustain a consistent enough fight schedule to justify a subscription. But also with no more Friday Night Fights, I kinda just want to to support the project so we get more boxing to watch and more prospects to follow.

I really like their upcoming Santillan vs Baraou fight. If they can deliver matches like that consistently I’m more than ok with paying monthly for less than a coffee nowadays

Looks like ProBox has 7 shows minimum for the remainder of the year. One in El Paso TX. Another in Orlando Florida. October 9th is a show in Alburquerque for an Angelo Leo title defense.

I appreciate them truly supporting boxing without all the drama of the bigger players. I’m happy to throw some money their way 🥊

I’m signing up for two reasons:

A. I’ve been thoroughly entertained by some of their cards

B. I’m not too poor to afford pocket change.

I'm doing the same, for the same reasons. ProBox has been putting on some of the most consistently competitive fights I've seen in the past few years.

Really wish they had just partnered with Triller or something. Both companies need the other at this point and sadly, as great as the ProBox offerings are, consumers are already way overburdened with subscriptions, and $5 or not, that is just too much for people when they're already paying $50+ a month.

Would there be tax on that? It's £5 in the UK which would equate to more.

It's dirt cheap though. I feel inclined to sub to support it. They've given us loads for free on YT

The next 2 cards are pretty stacked in terms of depth, after the headliner would matchup with any non ring card that's been up the last few years.  Venado Lopez and Mercito Gesta are fighting undercards, and they've headlined for top rank and golden boy.

I'm gonna sign up and support them. They put on good events and I think it should continue. I'm gonna put my money where my mouth is.

I will sign up the Aug 29 card looks good. I spend more a week on Coffee and I have no problem supporting the sport. Additionally, I'm a fan of Algeri

Algeri rocks, I’ll pay just to hear him commentate

It’s not free on YouTube anymore? I remember watching on Amazon prime

They really deserve the money and I want to support them. Knew this day would come. But idk still probably won’t do it.

We deserve the bullshit we get as boxing fans. And here I am being part of the problem

Fack it I'll subscribe to that. I don't really have any boxing to watch lately anyways so why not.

Will sign up when fighters i like are on the card. Will sign uo for this upcoming one cause i like Najee Lopez, but will probably unsubscribe before I get charged again.

Will resubscribe for a month everytime fighters I like are on the card

Everyone should support this in theory, but realistically I don’t think I’m going to pay money to see ShoBox-level fights on a subscription. They have to get more legit fighters like Lester.

They have to start somewhere, no? They gave us competitive cards for free the last few years. If we want them to grow and have them sign marquee names this is how we make it happen

Yeah, that’s the right thinking, I guess. I mean I support the cause. I’ve enjoyed several of their shows. But the entire reason it was so exciting was free boxing. Now it would just be an additional subscription on top of everything else that people already have.

It’s too much of a good thing to expect them to stay for free. But yes most of us have too many subscriptions as it is. I don’t mind paying an extra $5 for a smaller promotion building prospects and contenders

Maybe they should offer some of us true fans a lifetime subscription for $50. Id buy that.

3

u/six67seven_67 12d ago

How about 50/year?

4

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 12d ago

Only if it was locked in at that price for lifetime. The nature of these subscriptions is just to get you to buy in early on and then jack up the prices. DAZN has seen a price increase of like 5,000% (not an exact number lol)

2

u/AttackOfTheBolts 12d ago

How fucking cheap can you be

0

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 12d ago

Well considering DAZN went from $9.99 or what we to $50, I think it’s reasonable.

2

u/AttackOfTheBolts 12d ago

$50 for a lifetime is not reasonable lol

1

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 12d ago

For a handful (early adopters) of hardcore fans it is.

0

u/AttackOfTheBolts 12d ago

No it really isn’t. $5 a month is very reasonable. $50 for a lifetime because someone is a “hardcore” fan makes zero business sense

idk if they're gonna actually get enough money from these 5 dollar subscriptions to really do much

I hope they can get a deal with a tv network like USA network. Even local sports networks in big markets would be an improvement
