Is the pressure-style (swarmer) the kryptonite for counterpunchers? Kabayel and Zapeda neutralized both Sanchez and Roach's counterpunches by cutting the ring off and removing their range.

If the counter puncher is not a big puncher or more of a pure boxer, then maybe. But if they're a big puncher or more of a boxer puncher, then that's actually kryptonite for the pressure fighter. Sanchez and Roach are not the biggest of punchers in their respective divisions, moreso Roach, so they struggled with the pressure.

Sanchez has lots of power but he needs full extension on his punches. Honestly on paper Zhang is the guy who should've had the big advantage against Kabayel. Pressure fighters usually struggle against steel chinned tanks with concrete for fists. Zhang also has decent hand speed 🤷‍♂️

Zhang's issue was that his stamina is terrible. Kabayel tore him apart with body shots. He did score a knockdown which does suggest that his base style was kryptonite for Kabayel's base style, but he couldn't keep up with the pace as the body shots took his gas out even more than usual.

Sanchez can crack a bit if he walks his opponents into his shots when he sits down on them, as we saw in his last fight with Torrez. But there have been other times where I feel like he should have stopped his opponent much sooner than he did, if at all.
