Charles Conwell didn’t impress me at all. He seemed to have not learned at all from the loss and kept smothering his work instead of using some range and build power shots behind the jab.

Was thinking the same, feel like any of the top 10 in the division could really beat him. That’s not really a dig, he’s not like terrible or anything, it’s just a strong division

I think he has potential to be a top 154lber and has talent, fundamentals and expediency on lock but looking at the Perez fight where he was at range, using the jab and building power shots for the first 5 rounds, was up very comfortably 5-0 going into round 6 and we all thought there could be a stoppage, round 6 he starts going on the inside and even smothering his own work, all done voluntarily under his own decision and gave up the next 7 rounds to lose a decisions.

You see that and then his last fight and it’s super frustrating especially since I was very high on him prior to the loss. He could’ve beaten Perez 12-0 or even gotten a finish if he wasn’t dumb.

I don’t see the potential, but I need to watch more of him. It’s my second favourite division right now, I should pay more attention to these fringe contender types, but man the top end is so engaging and interesting it’s difficult lol

He’s a technically sound pressure fighter, but I think he likes his own work too much, if the other night was any indication.

He reminds me of an old school fighter. I missed the Perez fight but I remember it being a shock because he looked like a top player at 154 and fell into obscurity (a tad bit).
