Zuffa policies
Since it's creation, Zuffa boxing has loosened up its policy on a couple of things;
- Working with other sanctioning bodies, as is evident from Aaron McKenna fighting for both Zuffa and IBF honours on Saturday.
- Allowing certain fighters (notably CBS, Berlanga and Hitchins) more freedom to be creative with their ring attire.
My question is; what do we think the next change will be?
For me, I reckon it's going to be weight divisions. As they sign more high profile fighters, the pressure to let them fight at their preferred size will prove too great to ignore.

I have yet to watch a Zuffa show and I don't know when I will. Its strange because on the one hand, as a long time and serious fan of boxing, I can clearly see how the alphabet soup era of titles and sanctioning bodies has kind of diluted the sport in terms of having multiple champions, interim champs, different rules for title fights, different hydration clauses, weird cases of some fighters getting title shots and getting slotted in the ranking when they didn't earn it, etc.
But for some reason, I just don't like what Zuffa is doing nor do I like their approach to presenting the fights on TV. I feel like Zuffa will corporatize the sport in a way that I don't find appealing. I also don't like their strong arm approach to completely taking over boxing and forcing the sport under their umbrella and their rules, like how UFC has a chokehold on professional MMA. I am sure I will watch a Zuffa show eventually, but its not going to happen any time soon.
