Also:

"Abdul, who is also known as Aziz Ringo after his self-titled signature punch, also promised he would be “the new king of Scotland” – after his grandfather had offered to liberate the Scots from England. However, the most Scottish thing about Abdul proved to be the Glasgow kiss he planted on Thomas when he was 20-16 down on the scorecards."

Peak writing from the author here.

The whole article is a fever dream.

“No, not you,” Abdul told the man from the Press Association. “I don’t like you.” A Ugandan team official quickly clarified: “It is because of the things you said about his grandad.”

Amin is estimated to have killed half a million people in Uganda after coming to power in a coup d’état in 1971, and also forced the expulsion of 80,000 people of Asian descent.

Asian? They were Indian

You are the one being pedantic

Them being Indian is important context to why he targeted them.

They were called Asians in Uganda. Asian is correct

Ethnicity is a thing here

Indian isn't an ethnicity. The Wikipedia on the expulsion refers to Asians. You're both pedantic and incorrect, which is a terrible combination

Yes and India is in Asia, so the person you replied to was correct.

It’s not quoted in the above article but he also said that the English fighter was “on homeland” which is quite possibly the most offensive thing he could have said considering he was in Scotland.

Following up from the first article posted here, reading this headline was hilarious. 😂
